On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United States in the UN On Wednesday the Obama administration took its first major step in a plan to ban all firearms in the United States. The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments.

These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms. The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened.

Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress.

We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

Recent numerous reports have been circulated in various web sites and blogs about two seemingly major unusual events taking place in the U.S.

The First event involved extremely large and unusual numbers of National Guard Units in various states being called up for drills or exercises potentially for upcoming deployments. Many have speculated that these are unusual call ups because of the sheer numbers being engaged and the so-called secrecy behind them.

Many people have commented that they are simply being activated in preparation for deployments to Iraq this summer, but one ‘CONFIRMED’ report involved the Minnesota 1st Brigade Combat Team and marks the largest deployment of Minnesota military forces since World War II. This alone is highly suspicious.

The More disturbing INTEL that has hit the wire in the past couple of days is the report of large numbers of foreign troops arriving at a large naval base in San Diego, California. This report came at dusk on Wednesday May 19, 2010.

U.S. Navy vessels were spotted unloading extremely large numbers of UN and Russian troops and Equipment. They disembarked the vessels as it was still light out in plain sight. Mostly Russian troops.

Up until recently this was not confirmed, but merely rumor of a report from an undisclosed military source. Kudos to the Intel Hub!

A leading bankruptcy attorney representing hedge funds and money managers told ABC News Saturday that Steve Rattner, the leader of the Obama administration’s Auto Industry Task Force, threatened one of the firms, an investment bank, that if it continued to oppose the administration’s Chrysler bankruptcy plan, the White House would use the White House press corps to destroy its reputation.

The White House and a spokesperson for the investment bank in question challenged the accuracy of the story.

“The charge is completely untrue,” said White House deputy press secretary Bill Burton, “and there’s obviously no evidence to suggest that this happened in any way.”

Thomas Lauria, Global Practice Head of the Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Group at White & Case, told ABC News that Rattner suggested to an official of the boutique investment bank Perella Weinberg Partners that officials of the Obama White House would embarrass the firm for opposing the Obama administration plan, which President Obama announced Thursday, and which requires creditors to accept roughly 29 cents on the dollar for an estimated $6.8 billion owed by Chrysler.

Lauria first told the story, without naming Rattner, to Frank Beckmann on Detroit’s WJR-AM radio.

Perella Weinberg Partners, Lauria said, “was directly threatened by the White House and in essence compelled to withdraw its opposition to the deal under the threat that the full force of the White House press corps would destroy its reputation if it continued to fight. That’s how hard it is to stand on this side of the fence.”

A Perella Weinberg Partners spokesperson told ABC News on Sunday that “The firm denies Mr. Lauria’s account of events.”* The spokesperson would not elaborate.

Perella Weinberg Partners, which owned Chrysler debt through its Xerion Fund, was one of Lauria’s clients in this bankruptcy, but no longer is. The firm is led by Joseph Perella. On Thursday afternoon — after the Wedneday deadline — the portfolio manager for the Xerion fund decided to join the larger four creditors who are owed roughly 70% of Chrysler’s debt and had already agreed to participate with the administration’s plan.

Those four financial institutions - JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs — are recipients of up to $100 billion in federal government bailout funds, though the Obama administration insists the matters were kept completely separate.

Someone familiar with the Perella Weinberg Partners’ portfolio manager’s thinking told ABC News that the decision to go along with the government plan “was based on an assessment of investment risk and reward and nothing else.”

Lauria said his clients “are mainly fiduciaries for pension plans, college endowments, retirement plans and credit unions who invested in low yield supposedly very secure first lien debt” with Chrysler.

President Obama singled out Lauria’s clients for criticism when he announced the Chrysler plan on Thursday.

“While many stakeholders made sacrifices and worked constructively, I have to tell you some did not,” the president said. “In particular, a group of investment firms and hedge funds decided to hold out for the prospect of an unjustified taxpayer-funded bailout. They were hoping that everybody else would make sacrifices, and they would have to make none.”

Lauria said the president’s assertion that his clients weren’t willing to make any sacrifice is false. The clients were willing to take 50 cents on the dollar from Chrysler for their debt, he said.

President Obama also said of Lauria’s clients, “I don’t stand with them. I stand with Chrysler’s employees and their families and communities. I stand with Chrysler’s management, its dealers, and its suppliers. I stand with the millions of Americans who own and want to buy Chrysler cars. I don’t stand with those who held out when everybody else is making sacrifices.”

“He stands my clients up as basically the reason Chrysler is going into bankruptcy,” Lauria said. “He wrongly says they’re not willing to make any sacrifice. And then he says he does not stand with us.”

Lauria said the president saying he doesn’t stand with his clients “kind of sounds like ‘You’re fair game.’ In whatever sense. People are scared. They have gotten death treats. Some have been told people are going to come to their houses. God forbid if some nut did something, I’m just wondering how the president would feel.”

The Miami area-based attorney describes himself as an independent, and says after waiting in line for six hours last November he ended up not voting in the presidential election. He donated $10,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in 2008 and $1,000 to then-Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, in 2006.

Why do Obama, BP refuse to use most effective method of oil cleanup?

As the Gulf oil disaster closes in on the 50-day mark, the Obama Administration and BP refuse to use the most effective method of oil cleanup. The top oil barons of the world--the Saudis--have used this method to avoid a mammoth oil disaster.

And the result was swift, effective, and conclusive.

In 1993 and '94 the Saudis faced an oil spill of historic proportions in the Arabian Gulf as four leaking tankers and two oil gushers threatened to spur a catastrophic event that was 65 times worse than the Exxon-Valdez spill.

An American engineer, Nick Pozzi, was part of a task force charged with developing a solution to the looming disaster.

Pozzi had used various methods to clean up oil spills prior to this event. However, the time was short, and an effective solution was needed post-haste.

That's when Pozzi decided that the huge, empty oil tankers, sitting in the dock, could be used to simply vacuum up the oil right off of the top of the water.

The result was that 85% of the oil was recovered.

Pozzi believes that the tanker method is the fastest and most effective way of dealing with the Gulf Oil disaster, but no one in the Obama Administration or BP is willing to consider the idea. Instead, they have insisted on using untested techniques, one of which involves the use of chemical dispersants manufactured and sold by a company in which Obama cronies, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Hathaway-Berkshire, and BP, are heavily invested.

That company, NALCO, is also one of the so-called 'green' industries that Obama and the Leftwing favor due to its development of water purification systems.

In an interview with Esquire, Pozzi stated the following:

NICK POZZI: Keep in mind that what supertankers typically do is they sit in the middle of the ocean waiting for all the traders to come up with the right price. When they feel that the price is right, the tankers that are full, they take off, and they can be anywhere in the world in a few days. Right now there are probably 25 supertankers, waiting for orders, full of oil. So all they got to do is come to Texas, in the Gulf, unload the oil, and then turn around and suck up all this other stuff and pump it onto shore into on-shore storage. It's not rocket science. It's so simple. It's a Robinson Crusoe fix, but it works.

However, Esquire also reported that nearly FIFTY (50) super-tankers were sitting empty and ready to go, and on the cheap.

The Obama Administration and BP have totally ignored them.

In fact, BP has curiously skirted around the super-tanker solution when asked about it by reporters.

Esquire has clear evidence showing that the government has flat-out ignored or refused to consider the super-tanker method, in spite of its track-record of resounding success. Both Obama and the Coast Guard have been dragging their feet on this solution, although they have been made aware of it repeatedly.

Why?

Even Obama cheerleaders such as Chris Matthews are questioning the President's refusal to act, particularly in light of the fact that former Shell Oil executive John Hofmeister has insisted in numerous interviews that the super-tanker method should have been utilized at the very start.

It is also clear that BP and the Obama Administration could have not only used government equipment in the effort but recruited the help of all of the various oil companies. BP, obviously, could not handle the severity of this catastrophe alone. Yet it refused to request the help of other oil companies, refused to use the super-tankers to vacuum up the oil, and seemed to collude with Barack Obama to drag its feet on a real cleanup in lieu of testing out the chemical dispersants peddled by a company with dubious ties.

And it must not be overlooked that BP is much more than an oil company. The corporation is heavily invested in developing so-called 'green technology' that will supposedly replace the need for oil.

Increasingly it is beginning to appear that the Obama Administration and BP together deliberately closed their eyes, ears, and brains to fairly simple solutions that could have spared the Gulf coast from an historic catastrophe.

And that, to be blunt, is unconscionable.

More people give the federal government's response a negative rating than did the response to Hurricane Katrina. A month and a half after the spill began, 69 percent in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll rate the federal response negatively. That compares with a 62 negative rating for the response to Katrina two weeks after the August 2005 hurricane.

BP's response to the spill draws even broader criticism – 81 percent rate it negatively. And 64 percent say the government should pursue criminal charges against BP and other companies involved in the spill, which has poured oil into the Gulf from a well 5,000 feet beneath the surface since an explosion and fire destroyed the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig April 20.

Nikki Haley hasn’t suffered any damage whatsoever after accusations of multiple extramarital affairs and is headed for an easy first place finish in Tuesday’s Republican primary for Governor of South Carolina.

Haley has a 20 point lead, getting 43% of the vote. Gresham Barrett looks like the favorite for the second runoff spot. He’s at 23%, followed by Henry McMaster at 16%, and Andre Bauer at 12%.

Raleigh, N.C. – Nikki Haley had a 20 point lead in her bid for the Republican Gubernatorial nomination in South Carolina two weeks ago before allegations of an extramarital affair surfaced. Only 13% of likely primary voters believe the charges that have been lobbed against her and she continues to hold that 20 point lead heading into the final couple days of the campaign.

A first place finish for Haley Tuesday appears to be a near certainty. She’s at 43% to 23% for Gresham Barrett, 16% for Henry McMaster, and 12% for Andre Bauer. There’s probably a better chance of her avoiding a runoff on Tuesday than not finishing first unless something crazy happens to shake up the race in the final 24 hours. 54% of primary voters flatly do not believe the rumors about Haley. 33% aren’t sure and only 13% come right out and say they think they’re true. The numbers do suggest serious consequences for Haley if they are proven though- 42% of voters think she should drop out of the race in that scenario.

Haley’s favorability was a net +34 on our poll two weeks ago and it now stands at a net +35 (58/23). The person who’s really had a good couple of weeks is Gresham Barrett. His favorability has improved from +10 to +25 (44/19) and he’s emerged as the clear frontrunner for the second runoff spot, with his support going from 16% to 23%.

In the 4th Congressional District six term Congressman Bob Inglis looks to be headed to a runoff with challenger Trey Gowdy, who leads the incumbent 37-33. “Nikki Haley’s in good shape,” said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling. “Her campaign has deflected the allegations against her well and so far she hasn’t suffered any political damage in the wake of them.”

PPP did not survey the Democratic primary for Governor on this poll. PPP surveyed 998 likely South Carolina Republican primary voters including 300 in the 4th Congressional District on June 5th and 6th. The margin of error on the overall sample is +/-3.1% and for the 4th district subsample is +/-5.7%. Other factors, such as refusal to be interviewed and weighting, may introduce additional error that is more difficult to quantify.

Haley's support is pretty universal. She gets 43% with both moderates and conservatives, 45% in the Low Country, 44% in the Midlands, and 40% in the Upstate. At this point the chances of her winning an outright majority and avoiding a runoff appear to be better than the ones of her not finishing first.

Paul McCartney knows you can't buy him love, but some are suggesting he should try to buy himself a little class after he took a cheap shot at former President George W. Bush following a performance at the White House this week.

The 67-year-old former Beatle attacked Bush's intelligence after receiving the Gershwin Prize from the Library of Congress on Wednesday.

"It's a fantastic honor (for) the Gershwin family to give me this incredible award and for me to be awarded it by the Library of Congress. And in fact, after the last eight years, it's great to have a president who knows what a library is," McCartney said, drawing cheers from the audience.

"It was completely ungracious and undignified," said Fox News contributor Dana Perino, who was Bush's final White House press secretary.

"And it showed how shallow people can be, and it was sad to me someone of Paul McCartney's stature can in one moment erase years of goodwill that he built up with so many people in America," she said.

But Perino added that maybe she wasn't amazed.

"To be honest, given all of the nasty and ridiculous things that many in the world of entertainment have said about President Bush over the years, I'm not surprised," she said.

Marc Thiessen, a former speechwriter for Bush, called the comment "crass" and "rude."

"One, it shows no class. Two, it's ignorant," Thiessen told FoxNews.com, noting that Bush's wife, Laura, is a librarian.

"They made literacy an issue during his presidency and he is probably, as Karl Rove has pointed out, one of the best read presidents in recent history," he said.

Thiessen likened the comments to him making fun of the plastic surgery McCartney has had and how silly he looked accepting the award. "But I would never do that," he said. He did, however, call McCartney a "sad left winger" who is among those who still have not gotten over their "Bush Derangement Syndrome."

Rush Limbaugh is getting married for the fourth time, according to recent reports. He is marrying a woman who is 26 years younger than he is, and is currently working as an event coordinator. Her name is Kathryn Rogers, and she is 33 years old. Many have said that the difference in their ages is wrong or awkward because Limbaugh is 59 years old, but Limbaugh has responded to these criticisms by saying that he just wanted to live his own life, and that people should not worry about everything that he does.

(Remember Rush is not the resident in the whitehouse but a private citizen. Obama acts like he is a private citizen when it comes to disclosing his real identity.) Story Reports

“We try to live our lives as normal people,” he said in a statement. “We do NOT seek media attention, we do not want it, especially for this. It is very special, obviously, and we just don’t want any media attention.”
He has done his best to keep the news of the marriage as secret as possible, even deciding not to comment about the upcoming marriage to any of the many reporters who have questioned him about his marriage.

The two reportedly met in 2007, and have hit it off ever since then. At the time, Limbaugh had been linked to former CNN anchor Daryn Kagan. Limbaugh suffered a heart attack while going to meet her family in Hawaii at one point, and has had numerous health issues since that point. Limbaugh has often said that he did not plan on getting married a fourth time but apparently he changed his mind.

The conservative firebrand, 59, exchanged vows with Kathryn Rogers – a blond bombshell half his age – in a lavish Hawaiian-themed wedding bash headlined by none-other-than Sir Elton John Saturday in Florida.

It's an odd pairing considering El Rushbo's history of anti-gay commentary on his conservative radio show and the openly gay "Tiny Dancer" singer's longtime commitment to gay rights.

The Palm Beach Post reported the British superstar will pocket $1 million for playing the wedding reception at the posh Breakers Hotel.

The hotel has reportedly staffed about 50 additional security guards for the event.

Limbaugh and Rogers, 33, hosted a rehearsal dinner luau for 400 close friends and family at the hotel Friday night and the wedding will take place at Limbaugh's beachfront mansion at an undisclosed time.

Rogers told the Post in 2008 that the couple's age gap is part of what makes the romance work.

"I grew up so differently, traveling around the world, that I'm sometimes not able to relate to the average person my age," Rogers said. "Rush has such amazing experience."

The always outspoken radio talk show host has been uncharacteristically tight-lipped about his wedding plans – posting only a vague note on his website that he would be "out until Tuesday, June 15."

He made a plea for privacy in an e-mail statement to the Post.

"We try to live our lives as normal people. We do not seek media attention.We do not want it, especially for this," he wrote.

Limbaugh met Rogers in 2004 at a celebrity golf tournament.

He was divorcing his third wife at the time and the pair has dated for three years.
