History of The Tuskegee Airmen The True Story

History of The Tuskegee Airmen

The true story of the Tuskegee Airmen is far broader than one of just aviation and the first American Black Military Pilots and Crewmen to serve during WWII. It is one of this country's shining examples of unwavering human spirit, courage and enduring determination smack in the face of some of the most overwhelming personal odds. In an Experimental Training Program designed to fail from the start, Cadets at Tuskegee Army Air Field, Tuskegee, Alabama went through hell to earn their wings.

Cadets endured blatant disrespect, injustice and double standards throughout their training only to prove to themselves, the U.S. Army Air Corp, and their country that they most certainly could pilot aircraft if only given a fair chance. With the great support of Eleanor Roosevelt (wife of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, our 32nd President), not only would they become pilots, but would soon become arguably the most skilled aviators—and most feared by the German pilots who fought them—during World War II. However, that is still just part of their story.

What they didn't know at the time was that their personal sacrifice and achievements would forever break new boundaries for both the military and the entire nation. While they battled the Germans in Europe, and racism at home, it would have been difficult for them to imagine that their courage and determination to overcome adversity would soon fuel positive and far-reaching change back home.

Their example would ripple throughout the following decades and would be recognized as the birth of the Civil Rights Movement in this country. While many of these veterans came back to the States to start families, careers and go on to become community leaders, many airmen stayed on in the Military to make a career at what they did best, fly aircraft.

Of the milestones, awards and distinctions earned by the Tuskegee Airmen, they themselves define their greatest achievements as "The Four Hurrahs."

First Hurrah: Graduating from Flying School at Tuskegee Army Air Field and being assigned to the 99th Pursuit Squadron and subsequently to the 332nd Fighter Group.

Second Hurrah: The 332nd Fighter Group escorted over 200 bombing missions over Europe during World War II and established a record that would never be equaled.

Last Hurrah: Winning the 2 May 1949 "First Ever" United States Air Force Weapons Meet to become the "First Top Guns". This would not have been possible without the dedication of our Maintenance Personnel. They were the "Best" in the United States Air Force and James Harvey's Crew Chief, Staff Sergeant Buford Johnson, was the "Best of the Best".

Final Hurrah: Receiving the "Congressional Gold Medal" on 29 March 2007.

COMBAT RECORD OF THE TUSKEGEE AIRMEN

The so-called "Studies" conducted by the Army War College, depicted the Negro Soldier as lacking in "physical courage" and "psychological characteristics" which made him "Inherently Inferior" to the White Soldier. Therefore, the Negro could not fly or operate heavy equipment. However, the NAACP, the Negro Press and a couple of forward thinking Congressmen, put pressure on the War Department to form a Tactical Unit for Negroes. The War Department finally gave in and designated the 99th Pursuit Squadron to be manned by Negro Pilots graduating from Tuskegee Army Air Field. A "Designed To Fail" program was instituted for Negroes desiring to be pilots in the Army Air Corp. We overcame all of the obstacles (there were plenty) that were placed in our path, to become the "Best Fighter Group" in the Army Air Corp and subsequently the United State Air Force.

(This is a real story of racism and how the negro soldier that had real ability made real racists look like fools. Its an excellent example of individuals telling the government to go to hell. There is a big difference between real racism and made up racism or playing the "race card" of jessie jackson, al sharpton and obama.) Story Reports

“Initially, they said that I wasn’t physically qualified to fly. I, in essence, said, ‘To Hell with you, I am going to fly,’ ” Lt. Col. John Mosley with the Tuskegee Airmen said.

And fly he did — all the way into the history books. Mosley was part of the 477th Bomber Group, 318th — and failure was not an option.

“I recognized that they didn’t want me there,” John Mosley said. “And all you have to do to encourage me is to tell me that I can’t do or that I don’t want you.”

The NDAA act of 2012 makes ALL AMERICANS Susceptible to being kidnapped or detained by the US military if and American citizen owns a gun or rifle

NDAA Sections 1021 and 1022: Scary Potential

NDAA: Open Season for the Police State

Do you realize Congress has given the Federal State the power to use military detention on its own citizens, NDAA of 2012? And that they’ve made it possible to wage a war on peaceful activists, if they can just incite someone in your group to attempt something violent?

The FBI is busy infiltrating meetings, entrapping some dullard into a plot, equipping and financing his efforts, and then claiming credit for stopping another terrorist attack! That’s happened about 50 times since 9/11.

Since these nearly unlimited, un-constitutional powers are now law, obama, or a future "president", will be able to kidnap and disappear Americans. It could very easily be open season for the police state.
.......................................................

The NDAA of 2012 designates the entire earth, including the United States and its territories, one all-encompassing “battlefield” in the global “war on terror” and authorizes the detention of Americans suspected of terrorist ties indefinitely and without trial or even charges being filed that would necessitate a trial.

Supreme Court decision

The 2004 Hamdi case, which says that a U.S. citizen captured bearing arms in the war theater is NOT entitled to habeas corpus.

Hamdi, an American citizen whom the Government has classified as an “enemy combatant” for allegedly taking up arms with the Taliban during the conflict, was captured in Afghanistan .

(The NDAA act of 2012 makes ALL AMERICANS Susceptible to being kidnapped or detained by the US military if an American citizen just owns a gun or rifle! The "war on terror" battle includes the US and millions of people in the US own guns or "bear arms".) Story Reports

Is the ram iran and the kurds

Living in the Age of the Ram and the Goat makes the case that we were on the verge of experiencing an era that will fulfill the prophetic vision of the ram and goat that is described in Daniel chapter 8 of the Old Testament. Daniel describes the ram as having two horns and these two horns represent the kings of the Medes and the Persians. It is no surprise to anyone that the modern day Persians would be manifested in the nation of Iran, but who are the Medes? The culture that makes the best case for being the descendant s of the Medes is the citizens of Kurdistan: the Kurds. So the ram can only be formed when Iran and the Kurds make some kind of political alliance. This being the case we were symbolically standing at the doorway of the fulfillment of Daniel’s vision. Notice that I said we were: as of this week we have stepped over the threshold into Daniel’s vision. The ram is now in place.

This week in an article in Today’s Zaman (dated 11 October 2011) titled Turkey-Iran Tension Escalates Over NATO radar system and PKK it became apparent that Iran and the Kurds have finally teamed up. Here is a quote from that article: “The war of words between Iran and Turkey over the latter's decision to host NATO's early-warning radar system may hint at a new crisis looming on the horizon between the two neighbors, with the Kurdish terrorist organization, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), in play as a possible trump card by Iran against Turkey.” The PKK is a Kurdish terrorist group that since 1984 has caused havoc in Turkey in its aspirations to attain statehood for Kurdistan. Kurdistan is a people that have no land; they are an ethnic minority in four different nations: Syria, Turkey, Iran and Iraq. Also up to now the Kurds have not been friends of Iran either for much of the same reasons as the Turks: fear that the Kurds might try to absorb part of Iran in their drive to become a state. However the “Arab Spring” has changed all that. As this article describes Turkey has become the standard bearer for NATO and its push for the Arab Spring so it is not a surprise that Turkey has stood against Syria in its fight against the Sunni opposition. Syria and Turkey at one time were allies; since Turkey has stood against Syria, Syria has now also allied itself with the PKK and has threatened to use them in any military strikes initiated by Syria against Turkey. It should be no surprise to anyone that Iran has orchestrated this Iran-Syria- Kurd triangle.

Turkey’s reaction to the Iran-Kurd alliance has become evident in an article from Fox News today. The article titled, Turkey Urges Iraq to Crackdown on Kurdish Rebels, had this to say: “Turkey's foreign minister said Thursday that Iraq should move to prevent Kurdish attacks on his country from Iraqi soil as the two countries renewed their commitment to fight the rebels.” It is interesting that Turkey is seeking assistance from Iraq to subdue the PKK (assistance it is not likely to receive).

Survival Experts Take Note Of This Ultimate Survivor

Swedish man survived in snowed-in car for two months
A Swedish man who spent two months snowed inside his car as temperatures outside dropped to -30C is "awake and able to communicate", according to the hospital treating him, where stunned doctors believe he was kept alive by the "igloo effect" of his vehicle.

The man, believed to be Peter Skyllberg, 44, who was found near the north-eastern town of Umeå on Friday by passers-by, told police he had been in the car since 19 December without food, surviving only by eating snow and staying inside his warm clothes and sleeping bag.

Dr Ulf Segerberg, the chief medical officer at Noorland's University Hospital, said he had never seen a case like it. The man had probably been kept alive, he said, by the natural warming properties of his snowed-in car which would have acted as "the equivalent of an igloo".

"This man obviously had good clothes; he's had a sleeping bag and he's been in a car that's been snowed over," said Segerberg. "Igloos usually have a temperature of a couple of degrees below 0C and if you have good clothes you would survive in those temperatures and be able to preserve your body temperature. Obviously he has managed to preserve his body temperature or he wouldn't have made it because us humans can't really stand being cooled down like reptiles, for instance, which can change the body temperature."

Two months was at the "upper limit" of what a person would be able to survive without food, added Segerberg.

Skyllberg was found emaciated and very weak by a pair of snowmobilers who thought they had found a crashed car. They dug down through about a metre of snow to see its driver lying on the back seat in his sleeping bag, according to Ebbe Nyberg, a local police officer.

"They were amazed at what they found: a man in his mid-40s huddled inside in a sleeping bag, starving and barely able to move or speak," Nyberg, working in Vaesterbotten county, was quoted as saying.

A rescuer told the local newspaper Västerbottens-Kuriren: "It's just incredible that he's alive considering that he had no food, but also since it's been really cold for some time after Christmas."

Police said temperatures around Umeå had fallen to -30C. One doctor, Stefan Branth, said Skyllberg may have survived by going into hibernation mode. "A bit like a bear that hibernates. Humans can do that. He probably had a body temperature of around 31C which the body adjusted to. Due to the low temperature, not much energy was used up."

But Segerberg said he was "sceptical" of this suggestion. "We can't lower body temperature very much. A little bit we can, but if we lower body temperatures more than just a little bit, we lose consciousness and go into a coma," he said, cautioning that it was not his area of expertise.

(There is no known mechanism in humans that could set our internal thermostat to any other temperature than 37 °C, 98.6F (or thereabouts), so we lack a crucial prerequisite for hibernation. This man also had no yogi bear pic-a-nic basket. Note his igloo was a ford explorer so to emulate this you need this clunker/survivor vehicle.) Story Reports

Skyllberg is being treated in an ordinary ward in the University Hospital, where Segerberg said he was "feeling well". It was unclear how he had come to be stranded in the deserted lane.

Segerberg said that, even in a part of the world where sub-zero temperatures and heavy snow are the norm, this case was unusual. "There have been cases of people caught out in the mountains, and if they can dig themselves down in the snow they are able to survive and be found. But there must be something special in this case."
