Barr says Trump tweets 'make it impossible to do my job' amid Roger Stone drama

Barr's unexpected comments came days after Trump, in a late-night tweet earlier this week, criticized career Justice Department prosecutors for recommending a nine-year prison sentence for his former advisor Roger Stone. Senior DOJ leaders then intervened and adjusted the sentencing recommendation downward, saying it was clearly excessive given Stone's obstruction-related offenses. All four prosecutors on the case stepped down within hours.

"I think it’s time to stop the tweeting about Department of Justice criminal cases," Barr said. "I'm not going to be bullied or influenced by anybody ... whether it’s Congress, a newspaper editorial board, or the president.”

Barr continued, "I'm gonna do what I think is right, and you know... I cannot do my job here at the department with a constant background commentary that undercuts me."
The attorney general said he could not "assure the courts and the prosecutors and the department that we're doing our work with integrity" if the White House appeared involved in DOJ decisionmaking for political or personal reasons.

In response, White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said Trump "wasn’t bothered" by Barr's remarks, even as she defended the president's social media use.
“The president wasn’t bothered by the comments at all and he has the right, just like any American citizen, to publicly offer his opinions," Grisham said. "President Trump uses social media very effectively to fight for the American people against injustices in our country, including the fake news.  The President has full faith and confidence in Attorney General Barr to do his job and uphold the law."

Barr and Trump are united in their belief that Trump and his allies have been unfairly targeted, Fox News is told. Republicans have long pointed to the fact that prominent anti-Trump figures, including former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, have avoided prosecution even though they have admitted to leaking and lying to federal investigators.

Barr, speaking to ABC News, said that even prior to Trump's tweet Monday night about the nine-year Stone sentencing recommendation, he was surprised to hear that DOJ prosecutors had sought the harsh penalty -- both because it was inconsistent with the prosecutors' previous discussions with main DOJ and because it did not seem "fair and reasonable" given the facts of the Stone case.

"I was very surprised," Barr said. "Once I confirmed that that's actually what we filed, I said that night to my staff that we had to get ready, because we had to do something in the morning to amend that, and clarify what our position was."

The next day, senior DOJ officials intervened and amended the prosecutors' sentencing recommendation downward, although top DOJ brass have repeatedly said their decision was independent of Trump's wishes.

On Wednesday, Trump praised Barr's handling of the matter: “Congratulations to Attorney General Bill Barr for taking charge of a case that was totally out of control and perhaps should not have even been brought,” the president wrote on Twitter. “Evidence now clearly shows that the Mueller Scam was improperly brought & tainted. Even Bob Mueller lied to Congress!”

Elbow Room – AG Barr: “President Trump Tweets Make It Impossible For Me To Do My Job”…

Given the nature of the highly partisan scrutiny; and considering the rabid media waiting to jump on any narrative engineering opportunity; and with the John Durham investigation outcome looming closer on the horizon; it makes sense for AG Barr to try and create an openly visible disconnect.

In essence Bill Barr is working to emphasize there’s no undue influence, and also emphasize the appearance of no undue influence.  The problem, however, is that the media will create the impression of influence even if, and despite the reality of, no Trump influence.

Nothing Bill Barr does and/or says will stop the media from falsely creating a narrative that says President Trump and Bill Barr are colluding to target their political opposition.

The answers in the ABC interview as delivered by Bill Barr only pour fire on a furnace of media intent to controversialize President Trump’s communication approach.

Barr’s intention may have been good (albeit selfish), but declaring that President Trump’s free speech and opinion as an impediment to Barr’s ability is just nonsense.

The emphasis is on the wrong syllable.

President Trump has the right to express his opinion and share his views with The People, the American electorate, who put him into office.  The President may do so in any form, manner, venue, method or presentation that fits his needs. Period. Fullstop.

It is not President Trump tweeting that makes Barr’s job more difficult; it is the DC beltway response and media apoplexy directed to the AG that makes things more difficult.

If lawyers have their feelings hurt; or if the sensibility of judges is wounded; and if the judicial system of the U.S. government is so tenuous as to be affected by words and criticism; and if AG Barr cannot simply address the issues therein by appropriately positioning a mirror to highlight that nonsense; well, that is not President Trump’s issue.

The consequence he describes, the issues underpinning Barr’s expressed concern, only further emphasizes President Trump’s point about how the justice system is being compromised by politics and media. The simple application of law is being ignored; and the system, of which Bill Barr is the apex participant, is corrupted and diminished by man-made manipulation based on politics and other factors…

If President Trump saying “this case sucks” via Twitter is enough to collapse the institutional objectives of a modern judicial system… and impede the ability of the U.S. Attorney General to do his job, well, what does that say about how weak and compromised the guardians have allowed that system to become?

Then again, that level of institutional compromise explains exactly why a fraudulent impeachment attempt was even possible.

Editor Note

The Turtle, Mcconnel said:

“President Trump is delivering too much honest information and direct opinion in a DC system that relies upon a purely political filter. The absence of that political filter is creating a problem for all operational systems in Washington DC.”

Well written and true. But President Trump is not omnipotent so he still has to be smarter than his opposition and cautious to some degree in this high stakes battle. His 95% GOP support could shrink if he can’t bring them all along with him on his swamp clearing adventure.

He can’t win the political war on Tweets alone especially if he uses the social media site to criticize opponents about things they have no control over like their looks and their height.

A leader must know how far ahead of his troops he can go into dangerous enemy territory alone no matter how determined he is. Eventually, he will need his troops to be at his side or the battle is lost anyway.

Losing Bill Barr would be have been his biggest loss to date IMO. There is still a way he can tweet the truth and not place unneeded public pressure on crucial Cabinet members. Timing is important.

I think Presiden Trump  is beginning to get the message that maybe he has sorta, kinda kicked himself in the butt with his roger stone tweet.

President Trump should hone his tweets and keep away from the tit for tat stuff on twitter when its not going to help his campaign or those of us who support his reelection.

I have always thought that some of President Trump's tweets were ill timed or even a waste of time.

I have seen other tweets by President Trump that were right on the money.

Democrats using the FAKE news media throw everything against the wall to see if it sticks.

THERE IS NO NEED FOR PRESIDENT TRUMP TO DO THE SAME VIA TWITTER!

How To Explain Mayor Pete To Children

Military Chronicle Channel On StreamZones.com

Mayor Pete Butttigieg is on the right and his "wife" is on the left.

Okay. So I saw a political ad where Mayor Pete, Mayor Pete Buttigieg was going on and on and on and on and on about how parents in America are struggling to explain President Trump to their children. And then I happened to see this.

Now, what are you shaking your head at in there? I mean, natural conclusion. So, he says Trump causes problems for parents. What about that? If you’re not watching on the Dittocam, what it is, a picture of Mayor Pete kissing his husband, which he does frequently.

Editor Note

If my kids asked me to explain mayor pete I would tell them he is a homosexual with a seared  conscience.

1 Timothy Chapter 4:2

Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

I would also explain to my children Romans 1:26-32

Romans 1:26-32

1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

He was the father-in-law of Andrew Breitbart. And I don’t know how many people — I think a lot more people than I’m aware probably know the story. Andrew Breitbart from California was a born-and-bred radical leftist. He had no other option. That’s just the way he came out of the womb. That was his surroundings. That was his universe.

He fell in love with Orson Bean’s daughter, and that, of course, necessitated Andrew hanging around with Orson Bean. Now, one day — and I’m gonna really truncate this story — one day at Orson Bean’s home Breitbart saw a copy of my first book on the shelf, The Way Things Ought To Be. And he started chiding, “What the hell are you doing with that? Why in the world would you have a book written by some fascist right-winger on your bookshelf that anybody could see?”

And the story goes that Orson Bean said, “Andrew, take that book and read it. Just read it.” He didn’t say anything else. “Just take the book and read it, Andrew.” And Breitbart did, took the book, read it. Because of the book, started listening to this program on KFI in Los Angeles and became a full-fledged, 180-degree convert to one of the most prominent conservative cultural, pop cultural activists the movement has ever had.

And he was effusive in his explanation for how it happened, my book. And it wouldn’t have happened had it not been for Orson Bean. And I had mentioned this a couple of times over the years and expressed my gratitude to Orson Bean. I was in the hospital over the weekend and I got a note, “I’m sure you’ve heard about Orson Bean,” and I hadn’t heard about anything because I had been out of it. So that’s when I learned what had happened to Orson.

And reading about it, I found myself reconnecting with this story. And the way Orson told the story interjected with Andrew Breitbart’s own words, it’s a tear-jerker. And it happened to coincide with the day the Academy Awards were going to be presented and that show that happened, and it was an absolute disaster. And I just couldn’t stop thinking about how Orson Bean was correct in describing how Hollywood used to be. It used to be every bit as red, white, and blue, God, apple pie America as any of us are.

This is not a discussion of when that changed and why. We all know that. So two things about this. And the sound bites I’m gonna need are near the end. I didn’t see the show, but I saw some video clips that we’re gonna play the audio from here in a moment. There was a story in — I’m not sure what the publication. I think it was — (interruption) No, it wasn’t Vanity Fair. It wasn’t Variety. It might have been Variety. I’m not sure which.

A story about how the age of the celebrity is dead.
And the point of the story is that the internet has killed the Hollywood star. And just that subhead, “The Internet Has Killed the Hollywood Star,” boom, home run, exactly right. And the only people that don’t know it are the celebrities.

The only people that don’t know it are the Hollywood stars.

One of my first expressed concerns — and it wasn’t a big one — about social media was that it was facilitating fantasy, that it was allowing people to live fantasies that were not true, imagining themselves to be stars and celebrities and living on the red carpet, all from the basement while clad in their pajamas, creating literal illusions that they fall into and believe that end up creating the most unhealthy circumstances for growing older and maturing and learning how to enjoy life.

The above transcript from the Rush Limbaugh show is a small example of Rush's daily explainations of things in the news you will NEVER hear on the FAKE national media.

During obama's term in office Andrew Breitbart died in a very mysterious way the day before he said he was going to publish some damaging information about obama.

I have always thought Breitbart was murdered.

I also don't believe in coincidences. Was obama or someone working for him  involved in Breitbart's death?

What do you think?

President Trump refers to pelosi's mumbling behind him during State Of The Union Speech

Trump calls out Nancy Pelosi for mumbling behind him during State of the Union

President Trump addresses supporters at Keep America Great rally in New Hampshire.

"I had somebody behind me who was mumbling terribly," Trump mused, as chants of "Lock her up!" broke out.

"Very distracting. Very distracting," Trump continued. "I'm speaking, and a woman is mumbling terribly behind me. There was a little anger back there. We're the ones who should be angry, not them."

Before he departed the rally, the president made sure to thank Pelosi for giving Republicans the highest poll numbers they've "ever" had -- or at least since 2005, according to a recent Gallup survey.

Pelosi, who ripped up Trump's State of the Union address as soon as it concluded, was widely criticized especially after videos emerged showing she had visibly torn some of the pages in advance.

"Nine months from now, we are going to retake the House of Representatives, we are going to hold the Senate, and we are going to keep the White House," Trump said to thunderous applause. "We have so much more enthusiasm, it's not even close.

They're all fighting each other. ... They don't know what they're doing; they can't even count their votes."

Perhaps worst of all, Trump said, liberals and the "fake news" media simply "can't take a joke."

Huge crowds gathered in the overflow viewing area outside the packed Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) arena in Manchester, which can hold approximately 11,000.

Mumbling and bumbling democrats and the FAKE news media continue to slip on their own banana agenda.

The main thing democrats have going for them is the FAKE news media.

A few quotes from the democrates during their rallys or campaign ads:

Joe Biden jokingly branded a young female voter a 'lying, dog-faced pony soldier' during a town hall in New Hampshire Sunday - then claimed he was quoting John Wayne.

Biden insults  one of his own supporters again.

Pete Buttigieg  “In our White House, you won’t have to shake your head and ask yourself: whatever happened to ‘I was hungry and you fed me. I was a stranger and you welcomed me,’” Buttigieg said, referring to Jesus’ words in Matthew 25:35.

Buttigieg should have quoted,

Leviticus 18:22   Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Buttigieg is a sodomite

Bernie sanders in  2020 is the same bernard sanders of 1977

Sanders had little interest in making a profit from his educational film enterprise. Instead, after his falling-out with Liberty Union, he poured his share of the profits into his pièce de résistance—a documentary on the life of union leader Eugene Debs, who won nearly a million votes running for president from prison on the Socialist ticket in 1920.

“We had gone to New York and lined up Howard Da Silva, who was a big Broadway booming voice actor, to play Eugene Debs’ voice,” Barnett explains. “But that didn’t quite work out, so Bernie ended up doing the narration of Debs’ voice.”

Bernie Sanders is from Brooklyn; Debs was not. The movie also suffered from the filmmaker’s reverence for his subject.

Sanders, one reviewer opined, seemed “determined to administer Debs to the viewer as if it were an unpleasant, but necessary, medicine.”

Bernie Sanders gave a “major speech” explaining what democratic socialism means to him.

Sanders’s 1979 documentary on socialist presidential candidate Eugene V. Debs may offer a more revealing glimpse of Sanders’ socialist vision than his speeches. Sanders wrote, directed, and starred in this documentary.

You can and read the transcript here.

Bernard Sanders is a dangerous communist.

Some of the quotations from Debs which Sanders speaks in his own voice and presents in an entirely positive light in this documentary will take you aback.

For example: “while there is a lower class I am in it, while there is a criminal element, I am of it, and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free.”

Crime here is seen as nothing but a product of exploitative capitalism. Sanders also clearly approves of Debs’ attribution of racial animosity in the South to a plot by employers to undercut “working class unity.”

This is classic Marxist doctrine. Sanders also emphasizes the importance of Marx’s writings to the development of Debs’ socialist thought.

Given that Sanders holds out Debs as a hero in this documentary, given the complete harmony between the documentary’s point of view and Debs’ own point of view, given Sanders’ failure to create any distance between the documentary itself and Debs’ most controversial statements and actions, and given Sanders proud invocation of the documentary and his admitted hero-worship of Debs twenty years after the film was made, it seems fair to say that this documentary offers an important window onto Bernie Sanders’ socialism.

Sanders’ treatment of Debs’ support for Russia’s communist revolution of 1917 is particularly striking. Here, at least, you might expect a bit of distancing or criticism from a truly “democratic” socialist. Yet Sanders obviously admires Debs’ decision to give “unqualified support to the Russian Revolution which had just taken place under the leadership of Lenin and Trotsky.”

When Sanders turns to explaining the decline of Debs’ Socialist Party after 1917, he attributes it to the party’s opposition to World War I and to fear of persecution. Nowhere does Sanders suggest that the Russian Revolution and its aftermath may have raised legitimate concerns about socialism.

Sanders’s honeymoon in the Soviet Union and his trips to Cuba and Nicaragua make a lot of sense in light of his documentary on his communist hero Debs.

Bernard Sanders was and is still, at heart, a neurotic socialist.

Sanders was initially drawn to Sigmund Freud and his theories as a high school student in Brooklyn. He then studied psychology at the University of Chicago and at the New School for Social Research in New York.

He worked at a mental institution in New York City before settling in Vermont for good in 1968. Like many lefties of his time, he was heavily influenced by the Austrian psychologist Wilhelm Reich, a disciple of Freud whose work drew a connection between sexual repression and fascism. When Paris student demonstrators took the street in that year, they held up copies of Reich’s book.

In a 1969 essay for the Freeman called “Cancer, Disease and Society,” Sanders, then 28, contended that conformity caused cancer by breaking down the human spirit and inflicting emotional trauma.

He quoted liberally from Reich’s 1948 book, The Cancer Biopathy, which, he noted, was “very definite about the link between emotional and sexual health, and cancer,” and he walked readers through Reich’s theory about the consequences of suppressing “biosexual excitation.”

 In 1969, bernard wrote:

The Revolution is coming and it is a very beautiful revolution. It is beautiful because, in its deepest sense, it is quiet, gentle, and all pervasive. It KNOWS.

What is most important in this revolution will require no guns, no commandants, no screaming “leaders,” and no vicious publications accusing everyone else of being counter-revolutionary.

The revolution comes when two strangers smile at each other, when a father refuses to send his child to school because schools destroy children, when a commune is started and people begin to trust each other, when a young man refuses to go to war, and when a girl pushes aside all that her mother has ‘taught’ her and accepts her boyfriend’s love.

The revolution comes when young people throughout the world take control of their own lives and when people everywhere begin to look each other in the eyes and say hello, without fear. This is the revolution, this is the strength, and with this behind us no politician or general will ever stop us. We shall win!

Bernard should have been treated in a mental institution instead of working in a mental institution.

He explains his radical communist past writings by saying that was years ago and his views have changed.

Bernie hasn't changed his views. He is still a skunk spewing his communist agenda of lies.

Who will the democrate cream of the FAKE news media crop be?

Joe biden?  A liar, idiot, plagiarist, criminal?

Buttigieg?  A liar and homosexual?

Bernard sanders?  A liar and communist?

Pocohontus warren?  A liar and fraud?  She uses Identity politics and radical dishonesty.

Democrates don't see these people as having any faults.

This is because most democrates themselves are all the above and identify with some of their traits.

Elizabeth Warren Is a Fraud

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) has been telling a story for years. It’s a deeply romantic story about her parents and their young love, fraught with the familial bigotry of an earlier time. Here’s how she told it this week in a video she released in preparation for her 2020 run:

My daddy always said he fell head over heels in love with my mother the first time he saw her. But my daddy’s parents, the Herrings, were bitterly opposed to their marrying because my mother’s family, the Reeds, was part Native American. This sort of discrimination was common at the time. So when my momma was 19 and my daddy was 20, they eloped. And together they built a family, my three older brothers and me.
They were a regular Romeo and Juliet of the American plains.

There’s only one problem with Warren’s story:

There wasn’t a shred of evidence that Warren had Native American ancestry, outside of her claims that she did.

For years, she portrayed herself as Native American in legal directories. And she has maintained her Native American ancestry in politics as well.

Whatever credibility Warren had on the issue has been shattered  — by Warren herself. Irked at President Trump’s irreverence regarding her purported bloodline, Warren released the results of a DNA study done by Professor Carlos Bustamante of Stanford University.

Those results showed that a Native American ancestor may have existed in Warren’s family tree “in the range of 6–10 generations ago.”

This would make Warren somewhere between 1/64th Native American and 1/1024th Native American.

It’s quite hilarious — and remarkably tone deaf — that Warren thought the study would make her problems go away rather than exacerbate them. But she was counting on a little help from her friends in the media.

They did their best. The Daily Beast headlined, “Elizabeth Warren Fights Trump’s ‘Pocahontas’ Taunt with DNA Test Proving Native-American Roots.”

NBC went with “Elizabeth Warren Releases DNA Results Indicating She Has Native American Heritage.”

MSNBC cheered, “DNA Test Results Allow Elizabeth Warren to Turn the Tables on Trump.”

But at of the day , her narrative had absolutely collapsed:

Even the Cherokee Nation released a statement blasting Warren for her pretentions to Native American group membership.

So, here’s the question: Why was this so important to Warren?

After all, she could rest on the fact that the Boston Globe reported just six weeks ago that Warren’s Native American status wasn’t a factor in her hiring at Harvard Law School.

This was FAKE news because it was a factor.

Why couldn’t Warren just say — as, in fact, she claims in the pages of the Globe — that she claimed Native American ancestry because she believed the stories she was told by her female relatives, and that those claims may have turned out to be false but had no impact in any case on her career development?

Because claiming minority status did and does have value to Warren.

Her Native American ancestry claims was a factor in her hiring at Harvard Law. The University of Pennsylvania listed Warren’s 1994 teaching award in its Minority Equity Report.

Harvard Law listed her as Native American in the university’s annual affirmative-action report; administrators listed her as such from 1995 to 2004. It took real action from Warren herself to be listed as Native American at the institutions at which she worked.

Minority status adds luster to a résumé in academia.

And in politics. Warren knows that without her claims of Native American ancestry, she’s merely another successful white woman in an era in which the base of her party has dismissed white women as part of the privileged class.

Claiming connection with a historically disadvantaged minority is politically useful to Warren — even if that connection is gossamer-thin.

By the intersectional logic of the Left, ancestry is destiny, and those of minority ancestry are bound together by a common fate.

Warren wants to be seen as part of that coalition. She can’t be unless she can claim victimization on grounds of something beyond sex — female status isn’t enough these days.

Thus, Warren, using a perversely race-centric view of the world that suggests one drop of Native American blood renders you Native American, has classified herself with emerging future of the Democratic party rather than with its demographic past.

Perhaps the Left will let her get away with it. Perhaps they won’t.

But the saga of Elizabeth Warren demonstrates once again that the ugly new identity politics dominating the Left drives its own acolytes to radical dishonesty to avoid being cast out of the club.

Ugly identity  politics and radical dishonesty other faces include:

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez.
