No offshore drilling for oil is another example of obama destroying the economy on purpose.

Instead of "stimulating" the economy obama is destroying the economy. Allowing offshore drilling would immediately reduce oil prices and gas prices. This would be a simple thing to do to help the economy. Everything obama does is just another piece of the puzzle that exposes obama as a communist. By not allowing offshore drilling obama has insured oil and gas prices will continue to go up. (Story Reports)

The Obama Moratorium: No offshore drilling while he’s in office

The Obama administration’s six-month delay in approving new offshore drilling leases in federal waters will become a new three-year ban, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar quietly told reporters last Friday. Which means that no new oil and gas leases will be approved during President Obama’s term even though two –thirds of the American public supports such activity, according to a December 2009 Rasmussen poll.

Sixty percent also believe that gas and oil prices will drop if the government allows offshore drilling, opening up an estimate 14 billion barrels of oil and 55 trillion cubic feet of natural gas

On July 14, 2008 President George W. Bush lifted an executive ban on Outer Continental Shelf leasing. On October 1, 2008, in a bipartisan agreement, Congress lifted another longstanding ban on new oil and gas leasing in the OCS.

Drilling was supposed to begin this July. But Salazar said he intends to discard the 2010-2015 lease plan developed by the Bush administration in favor of a new plan that won’t even go into effect until 2012.

“Secretary Salazar has finally confirmed what had long been feared – that the Obama Administration has no intention of opening up new areas for offshore drilling during his four-years in office,” said Rep. Doc Hastings, the ranking Republican on the House Natural Resources Committee.

So for the next three years and probably more, trillions of dollars in domestic energy assets will remain untouched while billions of dollars more are spent on foreign oil.

The U.S. is the only major oil producing country that is denying itself access to its oil and gas resources. As a consequence, high oil and gasoline prices will be inflicted on the American people unnecessarily. Insofar as environmental concerns are argued as reasons for not drilling, they are bogus. American companies are the most technologically advanced and the most environmentally sensitive in their drilling operations. Drilling will go on all over the world, since oil will continue to be the most important energy fuel for many years, probably decades, to come.

So not only much higher taxes will be coming from the Obama administration but also high prices for energy, both of which will be a drag on the economy.

The Obama Administration is financing oil exploration off Brazil.

Team Obama Funds Oil Drilling Project in Brazil and Nixes Offshore Drilling In US. Soros Invested Heavily in Petrobras, Brazil’s state-owned oil company. Soros money got the FRAUD obama elected. This is a kickback. Obama should be removed from office for this kickback.

The U.S. is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil’s state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to finance exploration of the huge offshore discovery in Brazil’s Tupi oil field in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro. Brazil’s planning minister confirmed that White House National Security Adviser James Jones met this month with Brazilian officials to talk about the loan.

The U.S. Export-Import Bank tells us it has issued a “preliminary commitment” letter to Petrobras in the amount of $2 billion and has discussed with Brazil the possibility of increasing that amount. Ex-Im Bank says it has not decided whether the money will come in the form of a direct loan or loan guarantees. Either way, this corporate foreign aid may strike some readers as odd, given that the U.S. Treasury seems desperate for cash and Petrobras is one of the largest corporations in the Americas. …

But it still doesn’t allow the U.S. to explore in Alaska or along the East and West Coasts, which could be our equivalent of the Tupi oil fields, which are set to make Brazil a leading oil exporter. Americans are right to wonder why Mr. Obama is underwriting in Brazil what he won’t allow at home.

Already this year democrats banned offshore drilling, scrapped oil and gas leases in Utah and opened the 111th Congress by introducing a bill to permanently prohibit drilling in he Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). But, Team Obama is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil to finance exploration of its huge offshore oil field discovery. This is what a communist does, Kills the economy and pays off his main money man.

For decades, Democrats have blocked efforts to responsibly develop this nation’s energy resources.

Democrats have blocked drilling off of the east coast.

Democrats have blocked building oil refineries.
Democrats have blocked clean nuclear energy production.
Democrats have blocked clean coal production.
