4 children die because dad was driving drunk (Greenville SC)

  GREENVILLE, S.C. ---  DEC 8 2018 — The driver of a van that crashed Friday in rural Greenville County, killing four children from one family, was charged Monday with felony driving under the influence, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.   |  

  Initially, Arnez Yaron Jamison Sr., 27, was charged with three counts of felony DUI resulting in death and one count of DUI resulting in great bodily injury, but the last charge will be upgraded to another DUI resulting in death after the fourth child died Sunday, troopers said. Jamison's last listed address in other public records is in Jersey City, New Jersey.  |  

  He also is charged with driving with a suspended license and child endangerment, according to the Highway Patrol and jail records.  |  

  Three children — Arnez Yaron Jamison Jr., 4; Robbiana Evans, 6; and Jamire Halley, 8 — died at the scene of the crash around 12:30 a.m. ET Friday on South Carolina 253, near rural Taylors, the county Coroner's Office said. Ar'mani Jamison, 2, died Sunday at Greenville Memorial Hospital.  |  

 

  Arnez Jamison Sr. was not wearing a seat belt and also was hospitalized with injuries including a broken leg after the 2004 Pontiac van ran off the road and struck several trees, Trooper Joe Hovis said.  |  

  The siblings all were children of Jackie Brown of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, a about 10 miles north of Greenville. Robbiana was in kindergarten, and Jamire was in third grade, according to Greenville County Schools.   |  

  

  A co-worker of Brown said the children were everything to their mother.

  Brown had moved to South Carolina three years earlier from Jersey City and was looking forward this year to having a tree with presents in their modest mobile home after living for a time in her car.  |  

  She was at home cleaning Thursday when Jamison Sr. took the children with him to visit another one of his children in town. It was late — actually early Friday morning — when he drove them back toward home along country roads in rural Taylors.

She began to worry when they didn't arrive. She couldn’t reach her partner.   |  

 

  Each call and text grew more frantic. Eventually, Brown ordered a ride from Lyft to seek her family, but when the driver arrived, he told her about a bad car accident just a short drive up winding South Carolina 253 near Mountain Creek Road.  |  

  Then the hospital called. They said she needed to rush. Ar’mani was there.  |  

  “I just thought it would be bumps and bruises,” Brown said Monday.

When she arrived, Ar’mani was on life support. The 2-year-old girl would be taken off the machines and pronounced dead Sunday; the other three children died at the scene of the wreck.  |  

 

  Brown said it still felt unreal, an ironic nightmare that struck just as her family was beginning to get its footing.  |  

  They had started with nothing, but they had each other. Then they had everything, Brown said.  |  

Now, she said she truly has nothing.  |  

  “I’m just incomplete now without them,” she said. “They were my everything — my heart, my blood, my breath, my motivation. They helped me get through everything I needed to get through.”  |  

  Jamison Sr. is also broken, and "taking it just as hard as I am." She said she can't yet focus on the charges he faces.  |  

  He was charged about a dozen times in the past five years for traffic-related offenses, including hit-and-run with property damage, according to records from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. In 2015 he was charged with a felony for domestic violence, according to arrest records.   |  

  “I’ve just got to move forward, be strong,” said Brown, who hasn't returned home to her trailer but is staying with her mother in an apartment nearby. “I’ve been through a lot. It’s going to take a lifetime to heal, but I’m going to make it.  |  

  "I still have to do it for them," she said. "I’ve never been a quitter, so I’m not going to quit now.”  |

26-year-old man charged with the murder of Uber driver

Greenville County Sheriff's Office said a 26-year-old man has been charged in connection with the murder of an Uber driver in Greenville SC in 2017.   |

   Mike Mecklenburg was driving for Uber in April 2017 when he was shot to death.  |

   The sheriff's office said in a news release that investigators believe the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Joseph Jovanti Johnson III, shot Mecklenburg in the head after Meckenburg dropped off a passenger on Power Street.  |

   Johnson lived on the street. Deputies say Johnson "engaged Mecklenburg in an unprovoked verbal altercation that eventually resulted in Johnson firing a single shot, striking Mecklenburg in the head."  |

  Last month, a news agency's segment on the shooting death led to a tip implicating Johnson's involvement.

 Hours after he and another inmate escaped jail after beating up a security guard, a South Carolina inmate was fatally shot after he broke into a woman’s house, officials said.

Bruce McLaughlin Jr., 30, was shot in the head by the woman after he kicked in her back door on Tuesday, according to Pickens County authorities. | 

 After he entered the home, McLaughlin grabbed a knife sharpening tool from the kitchen and headed toward the woman’s bedroom around 3 a.m. Sheriff Rick Clark said the woman was home alone and had undergone concealed weapons training at some point prior to the incident. | 

 "This was a big guy. If she hadn't had a weapon there's no telling what would have happened," the sheriff said. "I gave her a big hug. I told her how proud I was of her."
Clark said the incident was “a shining example” of why owning and knowing how to properly use a gun is important. |

It has been over 48 hours since the polls closed and Broward and Palm Beach Counties are still finding and counting ballots – and the Supervisors – Brenda Snipes and Susan Bucher – cannot seem to say how many ballots still exist or where these ballots came from, or where they have been.


Senator Rubio, in his barrage of broadsides against Snipes earlier in the day, pointed to the "slow drip" of tens of thousands of additional ballots that were reported throughout the day Thursday, most of which were favorable to several Democratic candidates.

Rubio said those late disclosures violated Florida election law, which necessitates that mail-in and early voting ballots be counted within 30 minutes of polls closing.


Rubio and Scott both made it clear they have no confidence in Snipes' integrity.

A U.S. Senate seat & a statewide cabinet officer are now potentially in the hands of an elections supervisor with a history of incompetence & of blatant violations of state & federal laws," Rubio wrote, linking to a Miami Herald article describing several scandals that have gripped Broward County’s Elections Department.

Earlier this year, a judge found that Snipes had illegally destroyed ballots in a 2016 congressional contest, leading the secretary of state's office to assign election monitors to supervise her.


In 2016, Brenda Snipes’ office posted election results half an hour before polls closed – a violation of election law," Scott said. "That same year, her office was sued for leaving amendments off of ballots.

In 2014, Brenda Snipes’ fellow Democrats accused her of individual and systemic breakdowns that made it difficult for voters to cast regular ballots. All Floridians should be concerned about that.


Without providing legally sufficient justification, Rubio said, Democrat-controlled Broward and Palm Beach counties on Wednesday afternoon continued to report new ballots, cutting into Scott's already-thin lead and flipping the state's agriculture commissioner race to Democrats.

Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher told Fox News that Palm Beach is still counting about 2,000 mail-in ballots where voters circled or highlighted (by drawing an arrow pointing at the candidate’s name) their choice, instead of filling in the appropriate bubbles.

Rubio said those late disclosures violated Florida election law, which necessitates that mail-in and early voting ballots be counted within 30 minutes of polls closing.


Broward election supervisors ongoing violation of Florida law requiring timely reporting isn’t just annoying incompetence," Rubio wrote. "It has opened the door for lawyers to come here & try to steal a seat in the U.S. Senate & Florida Cabinet."

Florida law dictates that if the margin in any race hits 0.25 percent or lower, a manual recount of any ballots set aside from the machine recount will be ordered -- reminiscent of the scene in the 2000 presidential election, when the country was gripped by images of poll workers counting votes deciphering hanging chads by hand.

A worker had been found guilty of sexual harasment of female postal workers 5 times.

He was allowed back on the working floor each time because of supervision and union efforts to help him keep his job.

The last time he was allowed on the workroom floor it was required that he have 24/7 supervision by a supervisor following him like a dog watching him as he worked at the post office.

He should have been fired but because of union efforts he was not.

Brenda Snipes should have been removed as a Broward County election official.

She was not and is still allowed to supervise the counting of ballots while being monitored by election monitors following her like a dog watching her.

Snipes like the sexual preditor perp in the post office are allowed to continue there efforts because THEY ARE NOT HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS!

When pressed for a definitive prediction, he responded, “We hold the House and we increase the Senate because I think that is justice. One race in particular that Republicans are feeling confident about is the one for North Dakota Senate between the incumbent Sen. Heidi Heitkamp and Rep. Kevin Cramer. The most recent public polling from Fox News shows Cramer up 12 points among likely voters, with a margin of error of 3.5 points.

Today is Tuesday 11/6/2018 and the generic polls are all giving Republicans the edge in various races.

What this means is the dems will not win as many seats as predicted by polls in the past.

Dems need 23 house seats for pelosi to bcome speaker again.

Even if the dems get 23 seats in the mid terms it will still be a victory for Republicans because normally in mid term elections the party not in power gains many more seats that 23 in the house.
