Impeachment trial of President Trump Day 1

Editor Note

I will be watching or listening to the senate impeachment trial of President Trump as much as possible.

I don't need a commentator to tell me what to think or what I am watching in the Senate.

If you watch or listen to the senate trial yourself,  FAKE news will have less of an effect on your opinions.

Mitch McConnell Presents Draft Senate Rules Resolution

Senate impeachment trial proceedings are set to begin at 1 p.m. ET on Tuesday with the expectation they will stretch well into a wild night on Capitol Hill

Senate impeachment rules to be debated and voted  on Day One, today 1/21/20 tuesday.

McConnell is expected to kick off the afternoon's proceedings by introducing his proposed resolution for the parameters for the trial, which he has said will pass with at least 53 votes.

Senators will not be directly speaking out in the debate over McConnell's resolution, which is slated to last for approximately two hours -- only members of Trump's defense team, and the seven Democrats serving as House impeachment managers, are expected to participate.

There will be a debate and amendment process today to create the final resolution.  It will take 51 votes to create the rules.

Jordan Sekulow, attorney representing President Trump,  told Fox News' "Hannity" on Monday night that his father and the rest of Trump's legal team were "champing at the bit and ready to go."

He maintained that executive privilege, a longstanding constitutional principle protecting executive branch deliberations from disclosure, by itself defeated the "obstruction of Congress" article of impeachment, while Democrats had only hearsay evidence and speculation to support their "abuse of power" charge.

Neither "obstruction of Congress" nor "abuse of power" are federal crimes, and they have no established definition.

Additional Bonus Editor Note

I suspect the house of representative impeachment managers will look similar to the hearings in the house of representatives but much worse.

In the house of representatives the democrates had complete control of everything.

In the us senate the impeachment managers will be reduced to looking like idiots because of their own presentations and especially when President Trump's lawyers rip their FAKE articles of impeachment.

I think it will be very obvious the house articles of impeachment are worthless!

Shift and Nadler presented themselves in a manner that was not impressive in the house of representatives during FAKE impeachment hearings.

I don't think any of the house of representatives impeachment managers will present themselves in a convincing manner although they will present themselves and their FAKE articles of impeachment as valid.

I suspect as nadler, shift and the other house of representative managers present themselves to the public it will be similar to the hearings for supreme court justice kavanaugh.

You could tell the  christine blasey ford had a forced and fake presentation.

The house of representative impeachment managers will also have forced and fake presentations in the senate.

Because the house managers, like christine blasey ford, will be bad actors trying to use a defective script their presentations should be quite amusing.

The Democrats’ Shakespearian impeachment drama mimics “The Play That Goes Wrong.”

While actors are trying to maintain their sternest expressions and direst of warnings, many in the audience, i.e. voters, clearly see all that goes wrong and chuckle.

Make no mistake: Democrats, media and The Swamp have been in the theater business for decades, all show and no substance. And, they do it on the taxpayer’s nickel.

This week the "the impeachment play that goes wrong" begins.

The impeachment play that goes wrong is about The Thespian Troupe of house of representative impeachment manager's  endeavors to overcome awkward on-stage miscues. The stage is the senate.

At times the actors, house managers, are incapacitated and stagehand democrate lawyers are helpless to rescue the struggling  house managers to help them to read their lines from jumbled pages of the scripted articles of impeachment play.

Meanwhile, props fail to operate, and characters represented by the house managers, try to maintain stern personas while engaging in hilarious slapstick.

I do think the house of representative house managers will put on a "Play That Goes Wrong."

Its the stern personas of the house managers that will be hilarious slapstick comedy.

The real tragedy is the "play that goes wrong" is not a play but democrate actors trying to deceive the American public presenting the FAKE articles of impeachment in the US Senate starting today.

The Trump campaign had some fun at the expense of House Intelligence Committee chairman and leading House impeachment manager Adam Schiff, D-Calif, in a Looney Tunes-style cartoon featuring him as "Schiff T. Coyote."

The cartoon, titled "Schiff Hits the Fan," shows Schiff in an outfit resembling the classic character Wile E. Coyote chasing down "Trump Runner," who looks exactly like Road Runner but with tall blonde feathers.

Their given scientific names are  "Politicus Hackitus" and "Tweetatus Maximus," respectfully.
