GLENDALE, Ariz. – Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney thought the fake sports news coverage of Clemson football was ridiculous.
According to the popular narrative, his Tigers remained undefeated because they “hadn’t played anybody” good. When their star quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, “struggled” earlier this season, other questions mounted about just how good they really were.
(This was what was reported on some sports websites, that Trevor Lawrence "struggled" but this was ONLY FAKE SPORTS NEWS.)

But now the world knows. Lawrence saved the Tigers in the fourth quarter, helping Clemson win its 29th consecutive game with a white-knuckle effort against Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl national semifinal.
Final score: Clemson 29, Ohio State 23. The win advances Clemson to the national championship game against LSU in New Orleans on Jan. 13.
"Well, that had to be a great game to watch," Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said. "I'll tell you, unbelievable performance. What a night. What a journey for our team."
Lawrence is the real deal
This was never in doubt, but the sophomore star really showed his moxie in the second quarter when he brought Clemson back from the dead. The Buckeyes were dominating and leading, 16-0.
At one point, Lawrence looked like he might have to leave the game with a concussion after being knocked hard on the head by Ohio State cornerback Shaun Wade. But in a close call, Wade was ejected for targeting on that play.
Instead of facing a fourth down near the 50-yard line, the penalty gave Clemson a first down at the Ohio State 30-yard line. Lawrence came out for one play but then returned to direct a drive that ended with an 8-yard touchdown run from running back Travis Etienne.

Editor Note
Clemson football is the real deal.
Foxnews website has nothing about clemson winning the Fiesta bowl on their website on 12/29/19.
Fake sports news can be as simple as not posting any news about a national bowl game such as the Fiesta Bowl but posting only information about another national bowl game the Peach Bowl.
Foxnews website has totally ignored Clemson's big win in the Fiesta Bowl but had several articles about LSU's win in the Peach Bowl.
This is an OBVIOUS eample of what I call FAKE sports reporting by omitting national sports news in an effort to downplay Clemson's BIG win in the Fiesta Bowl.
Fox news omits national news about President Trump also that is favorable to his effort to Make America Great Again.
All the efforts of the FAKE news media which more and more includes foxnews does NOT keep the facts from being reported.
