WARRIOR, AL (WBRC) -

The victims of a home break-in near Warrior caught the alleged intruders on Sunday afternoon and held them at gunpoint until authorities could arrive.

A home surveillance system captured video of the suspects breaking into the Wyatt family home on Gobbler Knob Road on Friday afternoon.

The surveillance video shows a woman knocking on the family's home.

When no one answered, a male accomplice kicked the door open. The woman and two men helped themselves to two TVs and several of the family's Christmas presents, including gifts for their 1-year old-son.

The three suspects then drove away in a black Ford Ranger pickup truck.

Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to the Wyatts' home around 9:30 p.m. Friday to investigate the burglary.

Two days later, around 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, deputies investigated a second burglary, this one in the 1600 block of New Bethel School Road.

The victim said someone forced open the door to his home and stole a computer monitor, trumpet, knife collection and jewelry, according to Chief Deputy Randy Christian.

While deputies were still on the scene investigating the second burglary, the Wyatts called the sheriff's office to say they had found the suspects who broke into their home and were holding them at gunpoint.

Sarah Wyatt said that by chance, her husband Chris and other relatives recognized the suspects and apprehended them on Sunday afternoon.

"They happened to drive by and we seen them drive by and we knew it was them and we stopped them,” Chris Wyatt said.

The sheriff's office says Wyatt followed the suspects' vehicle as they turned down Gobbler's Knob Mine Road and blocked them in. He and his friends then held them at gunpoint until deputies could get to the scene, Christian said.

Chris Wyatt said the suspects claimed they were lost when the Wyatts confronted them.

"They tried to say that they were lost and we corrected them where they were,” Chris Wyatt said.

Deputies arrived a short time later and took a man and two women into custody. They also found some of the stolen items from the home on New Bethel School Road inside the suspects' truck.

The burglary victim identified his belongings and they were returned to him.

Deputies arrested Eric Paul Stillwell, 38, of Quinton, 29-year-old Natosha Derrick of Jasper and Priscilla Roxanne Mathis of Dora. Deputies said Mathis originally lied about her name.

All three have each been charged with third degree burglary and second degree theft of property for the New Bethel School Road burglary, and authorities say they expect to charge the suspects in the first burglary as well.

The suspects are being held on a $25,000 bond each in the Jefferson County Jail.

The Wyatts are still hopeful they'll get back the things that were stolen.

(After watching the video you see police arresting a man in the wrong way. They did Not use reasonable force but excessive force to subdue Garner. This was NOT a violent crime scene!

(1) Eric Garner should have complied with the officers and not resisted arrest.
(2) Because he resisted arrest he was put on the ground.
(3) This is where the cops used excessive force and caused him later to die of a heart attack on the way to the hospital.
(4) Yes the cop had his arm around his neck but that didn't cause his death. His Fat neck didn't allow the cop to compress it enough to choke him to death.
(5) The excessive force is visible as the cops held his head to the ground and other cops grouped around him compressing his chest NOT ALLOWING HIM TO BREATHE! He was asthmatic.
(6) This is what caused Eric Garner to die, his excessive chest compression.
(7) The cops IGNORED his plea of "I can't breathe".
(8) The cops said he was arrested for selling cigarettes but NO cigarettes were found on him at the time.
(9) He had been arrested many times before for selling individual cigarettes.

(10) The New York city law that doesn't allow someone to sell, eat or do whatever they want with individual cigarettes after they have bought the pack of cigarettes and PAID the excessive tax on the cigarettes is also the "cause" of Eric Garner death.

So who is to blame for Eric Garner's death? Eric Garner for resisting arrest, the cops that used excessive force and compressed his chest and the city of New York for making a law that contributed to his death.

Al sharpton and his type will hype this story and whip up people with lies about Eric Garner being "choked to death" because of his race. People will sell "I can't breathe tee shirts etc. The state run media will milk this story for all its worth and Bubba will buy a tee shirt that says "I can't breathe".

Officer Darren Wilson said Michael Brown "had the most intense aggressive face I've ever seen on a person," when the unarmed 18-year-old turned to face him after the two struggled in Wilson's patrol car, and the teen kept coming at him even after he'd shot him multiple times.

"After I fired multiple shots I paused for a second, yelled at him to get on the ground again, he was in the same state. Still charging in, hands still in his waistband," Wilson told police investigators the morning after the fatal shooting.

"I fired another set of shots. Same thing, still running at me, hadn't slowed down, hands still in his waistband," Wilson said. "He gets about eight to 10 feet away, he's still coming at me in the same way. I fired more shots. One of those, however many of them, hit on him in the head and he went down right there."

Wilson's account was part of the evidence presented to the grand jury that investigated the Aug. 9 shooting.

The evidence was released by the St. Louis County prosecutor Monday evening after the grand jury declined to indict Wilson.

Wilson said he had heard that someone had stolen cigarillos from the nearby Ferguson Market just before he saw two young men walking in the middle of the street, disrupting traffic.

He said that after he asked the two to move onto the sidewalk, one said, "F*** what you have to say," as they passed him.

"When he said that, it drew my attention totally to Brown," he said. "It was a very unusual and not expected response from a simple request."

Then he noticed that Brown was carrying packages of cigarillos, which had been reported stolen, he said.

He called for backup and then backed up his car to cut them off, he said. When he started to open the door and called to Brown, the young man responded: "What the f*** are you gonna do?" he said.

The officer told investigators that when he tried to open the door, Brown slammed it shut.

"He was just staring at me, almost like to intimidate me or to overpower me," Wilson said. "The intense face he has was just not what I expected."

Wilson said he tried to open his door again, telling Brown to "get the f*** back," but Brown grabbed the door and slammed it, then ducked his head inside the open window.

"I don't remember seeing him come at me, but I was hit right here in the side of the face with a fist," Wilson said. "I think it was a full-on swing, but not a full shot."

When Brown turned to give the cigarillos he was carrying in his left hand to the other young man, Wilson tried to grab his right "to get out, to have some type of control and not be trapped in my car anymore," he said.

"And when I grabbed him, the only way I can describe it is I felt like a 5-year-old holding onto Hulk Hogan," he said.

As the two struggled, with Wilson seated inside the car and Brown leaning in through the open window, he tried to get his mace canister but couldn't reach it, according to the officer's account.

"I thought I was already compromised enough. I drew my firearm, I pointed at him," Wilson said.

He said that when he warned Brown he was going to shoot him and told him to get on the ground, the teen grabbed the gun and said "You are too much of a p***y to shoot me."

"When he grabbed my gun, he twisted it, pointed at me and into my hip pelvic area," he said.

"I know his hand was around my trigger finger which was inside the trigger guard, and when he grabbed it he pushed it down and angled it to where it was like this in my hip," Wilson said. "I was guaranteed he was going to shoot me."

Brown had "completely overpowered" him, Wilson said, but he was able to twist the gun around and get a shot off, and then another, but he didn't know what he had hit.

"It was a, just one of these to get him off me," Wilson said.

He said he radioed for more patrol cars, then yelled for Brown, who was running then, to stop and get on the ground.

Brown stopped, but he didn't get down, Wilson said.

"When he stopped, he turned, looked at me, made like a grunting noise and had the most intense aggressive face I've ever seen on a person," Wilson said.

Alfred Staubus, a consultant in forensic toxicology at the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, said that THC could impair judgment or slow reaction times but that there was no reliable measurement to make those conclusions.

States that have legalized marijuana have struggled with the issue of how to measure impairment.

“The detection of THC in the postmortem blood of Michael Brown really indicates his recent use of marijuana (within a few hours) and that he may or may not have been impaired at the time of his death,” Staubus wrote in an email.
