CDC issues Ebola checklist
..........
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, warning hospitals and doctors that “now is the time to prepare,” has issued a six-page Ebola “checklist” to help healthcare workers quickly determine if patients are infected.
While the CDC does not believe that there are new cases of Ebola in the United States, the assumption in the checklist is that it is only a matter of time before the virus hits home.
For example, one part reads: “Encourage healthcare personnel to use a ‘buddy system’ when caring for patients.” Another recommends a process to report cases to top officials:
Plan for regular situational briefs for decision-makers, including:
Suspected and confirmed EVD patients who have been identified and reported to public health authorities.
Isolation, quarantine and exposure reports.
Supplies and logistical challenges.
Personnel status, and policy decisions on contingency plans and staffing.
The checklist has been distributed to major hospitals and even little ones, including an urgent center in Leesburg, Va.

by personnel entering the room of a patient with infectious tuberculosis.
However, if a bronchoscopy is performed on the patient, the healthcare provider might wear a higher level of respiratory protection, such as a powered air-purifying respirator or PAPR.

What We’re Afraid to Say About Ebola
.........
THE Ebola epidemic in West Africa has the potential to alter history as much as any plague has ever done.
There have been more than 4,300 cases and 2,300 deaths over the past six months. Last week, the World Health Organization warned that, by early October, there may be thousands of new cases per week in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Nigeria. What is not getting said publicly, despite briefings and discussions in the inner circles of the world’s public health agencies, is that we are in totally uncharted waters and that Mother Nature is the only force in charge of the crisis at this time.
There are two possible future chapters to this story that should keep us up at night.
The first possibility is that the Ebola virus spreads from West Africa to megacities in other regions of the developing world. This outbreak is very different from the 19 that have occurred in Africa over the past 40 years. It is much easier to control Ebola infections in isolated villages. But there has been a 300 percent increase in Africa’s population over the last four decades, much of it in large city slums. What happens when an infected person yet to become ill travels by plane to Lagos, Nairobi, Kinshasa or Mogadishu — or even Karachi, Jakarta, Mexico City or Dhaka?
The second possibility is one that virologists are loath to discuss openly but are definitely considering in private: that an Ebola virus could mutate to become transmissible through the air. You can now get Ebola only through direct contact with bodily fluids. But viruses like Ebola are notoriously sloppy in replicating, meaning the virus entering one person may be genetically different from the virus entering the next. The current Ebola virus’s hyper-evolution is unprecedented; there has been more human-to-human transmission in the past four months than most likely occurred in the last 500 to 1,000 years. Each new infection represents trillions of throws of the genetic dice.
If certain mutations occurred, it would mean that just breathing would put one at risk of contracting Ebola. Infections could spread quickly to every part of the globe, as the H1N1 influenza virus did in 2009, after its birth in Mexico.
Why are public officials afraid to discuss this? They don’t want to be accused of screaming “Fire!” in a crowded theater — as I’m sure some will accuse me of doing. But the risk is real, and until we consider it, the world will not be prepared to do what is necessary to end the epidemic.
In 2012, a team of Canadian researchers proved that Ebola Zaire, the same virus that is causing the West Africa outbreak, could be transmitted by the respiratory route from pigs to monkeys, both of whose lungs are very similar to those of humans. Richard Preston’s 1994 best seller “The Hot Zone” chronicled a 1989 outbreak of a different strain, Ebola Reston virus, among monkeys at a quarantine station near Washington. The virus was transmitted through breathing, and the outbreak ended only when all the monkeys were euthanized. We must consider that such transmissions could happen between humans, if the virus mutates.

Sometimes, getting up off the couch to grab a drink is far too time consuming. What if you could drive the couch to the fridge instead?
Well, your dreams of an automated couch have come true. Nine engineering students at the University of New South Wales in Australia have designed a robotic couch that can be controlled using a standard USB gamepad.
Featuring a custom-built steel chassis with mecanum wheels instead of legs, the "robocouch" can reach speeds up to 15 kilometres (9.3 miles) per hour. All up, the ensemble weighs approximately 100 kilograms (220 pounds) and cost AU$3,000 ($2802, £1717) to put together. ($2,718.00)
The wheels are driven with 12V electric scooter motors which are all connected to a central controller to regulate speed. In the armrest, a Raspberry Pi also interfaces with the central controller.
While the couch has been in development for a year, the students hope that it will move beyond a cool party trick and wheel itself into an autonomous future.
"The couch fits quite nicely down corridors and in lifts, so if we can fit it out with different sensors to map indoor areas, then it could potentially navigate from one place to another, and not crash into things along the route," said Steph McArthur, one of the engineers behind the project.

Bubble-gum flavored toothpaste contains enough fluoride to kill a child

What you should know about your child's toothpaste
........
Toothpastes (After reading this you won't buy any more fluoride toothpaste.)
.........
“Keep out of reach of children under 6 years of age. If you accidentally swallow more than used for brushing, seek professional help or contact a poison control center immediately.”
The FDA requires this warning because children who swallow too much fluoride toothpaste can suffer acute poisoning, even death. In fact, a single tube of bubble-gum flavored Colgate-for-Kids toothpaste contains enough fluoride (143 mg) to kill a child weighing less than 30 kg about 66 pounds. (Whitford 1987a).
While fatalities from fluoride ingestion are rare (the last reported death occurred in 2002), bouts of acute fluoride poisoning are not. Acute fluoride poisoning, which occurs at doses as low as 0.1 to 0.3 mg per kg of bodyweight, generally presents in the form of gastric pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, and flu-like symptoms. (Akiniwa 1997; Gessner 1994). A child weighing 10 kg would only need to ingest 1 to 3 grams of paste (less than 3% of a tube of Colgate-for-Kids) to experience one or more of these symptoms.
Among some individuals, the use of fluoride toothpaste may cause or aggravate perioral dermatitis (a rosacea-like skin rash around the mouth). (McCaffery 2003; Mellette 1983, 1976). The condition usually appears in women between the ages of 20 and 50. Where fluoride toothpaste is the cause of the condition, significant improvement in symptoms will be experienced within a few weeks of using a non-fluoridated toothpaste. In addition to dermatitis, fluoride toothpaste may also cause stomatitis (i.e., mouth ulcers, “canker sores”). (Brun 2004; Douglas 1957).
Perhaps the most important, yet most overlooked, risk from excessive ingestion of fluoride toothpaste, is the impact it can have on blood glucose and insulin levels. In the 1980s, researchers at the University of Indiana reported that rats receiving acute, but relatively small, doses (0.5 mg/kg) of fluoride, had significantly higher glucose levels in their blood, and decreased levels of insulin. (Shahed 1986; Whitford 1987b).
Since that time, numerous studies have repeated this finding (in both animals and humans) at doses which many children routinely ingest from fluoride toothpaste. It is now estimated, for example, that blood fluoride levels of just 95 ppb produce an increase in glucose levels and a decrease in insulin. (Menoyo 2005). Strikingly, this level is routinely exceeded by about 5 to 10% of children using fluoride toothpaste (particularly those living in fluoridated communities).

WHERE DOES THE FLOURIDE ADDED TO WATER COME FROM?
The main chemicals used to fluoridate drinking water are known as “silicofluorides” (i.e., hydrofluorosilicic acid and sodium fluorosilicate). Silicofluorides are not pharmaceutical-grade fluoride products; they are unprocessed industrial by-products of the phosphate fertilizer industry.
Since these silicofluorides undergo no purification procedures, they can contain elevated levels of arsenic — moreso than any other water treatment chemical. In addition, recent research suggests that the addition of silicofluorides to water is a risk factor for elevated lead exposure, particularly among residents who live in homes with old pipes.

Fluoride is a poison that accumulates in our bones.
Fluoride: Deadly Poison?
History & Dangers of Fluoride
................
................
................
Fluorine is a Deadly Poison
(The information below has been scrubbed from the web. The government and industry don't want you to know the facts about the deadly poision flouride. Keep in mind it is now added to bottled water also!)
Millions upon millions of innocent people have been brainwashed by the aluminum companies to erroneously believe that adding sodium fluoride to our drinking water will reduce tooth decay in our children. Over 135 million Americans drink a daily dose of sodium fluoride in their water without thinking of it!
Fluorine, the gangster of the chemical underworld, made the atomic bomb possible. The only scientific way to free the necessary quantities of fissionable Uranium 235, buried in the inert mass of its parent U-238, is to force uranium hexafluoride gas through many acres of porous barriers. The next part of the process gradually concentrates the elements, creating a deadly hazard from radiation. "Hex" is what they named this vicious stuff.
Millions of Americans drink water spiked with a sodium fluoride solution. A chemical cousin of sodium, fluorine is not as toxic as "Hex" . . . but toxic enough, in high concentrations, to be used as a standard roach and rat killer and a deadly pesticide.
Yet this terrible, deadly sodium fluoride, injected virtually by government edict into drinking water in the proportion of 1.2 parts per million (PPM), has been declared by the United States Public Health Service to be "absolutely safe for all human consumption". Every qualified chemist knows that such "absolute safety" is not only unattainable, but a total illusion!
The Grim Story Behind Fluoridation
It was in the year 1939 that a famous institute in the eastern part of the United States commissioned their biochemist to find a use for the sodium fluoride wastes produced by aluminum foundries. Some 45 other industries also had fluoride disposal problems. Many were tormented by expensive damage suits arising from the noxious effects of the poison on livestock and crops. Oil refineries, metal smelters, tile, brick, steel, fertilizer and ceramic plants and many installations of the Atomic Energy Commission were involved. The cost to eliminate this chemical was fantastically high. Was there no way this byproduct could be put to a profitable use?
Now this biochemist was a clever and cunning man. He came up with a big moneymaking idea: why not dissolve the stuff in drinking water? He had absolutely no medical background and had not conducted any clinical research into the effects of sodium fluoride on our body's chemistry. His idea went over big with companies who were burdened by what to do with sodium fluoride wastes.
The next step was not difficult . . . turn the idea over to the advertising companies and let them brainwash the public into believing that the greatest health measure in modern times had been discovered. Give a "tall tale" to the gullible American public and if it sounds scientific, they will bite hook, line and sinker! So they used the tall tale that sodium fluoride in drinking water would prevent tooth decay in children, as they found a Texas town that had naturally occurring fluoride and, it seemed, fewer dental cavities. The public was eager to hear more. At last, a way to prevent tooth decay! Sadly, most became convinced at first despite that every smart thinking person knows that tooth decay comes from poor nutrition and especially the high consumption of refined sugar drinks, candy and products.
Big business and large professional organizations have a way of sticking together. Remember, they have the power of the media behind them because of the economic control exerted by the publishers' chief source of income advertising! With the aid of television, radio, newspapers and magazines, the major business, professional and social organizations promoted the 'great merits' of sodium fluoride, although totally false and dangerous to the American people.
Any person who publicly questioned this poisoning of drinking water with sodium fluoride was called stupid, ignorant, uninformed and backward! Most doctors and dentists surrendered to these powerful forces for fear of being discredited by their professional associations and communities. However, you can always find some honest and sincere professionals who fight for truth no matter how others might ridicule them! Extreme pressures were put upon city and state governments to fluoridate the drinking water. Big business and large professional organizations, which can act like the Mafia, do not take "No" for an answer! They know how to pressure state, city and water officials to think and take action their way, often not for good!
Shocking Historical Fluoride Facts
Adolf Hitler sought a means to make people docile and suggestible. He discovered that odorless sodium fluoride slowly poisons and makes dormant the small tissue in the brain's left rear occipital lobe that normally helps a person resist domination. Fluoride allows muscles to move one way, but not relax. In large doses fluoride causes paralysis and death.
Sodium fluoride is classified with arsenic and cyanide as a dangerous poison and is used in rat poison. Hydrogen fluoride is an industrial pollutant. It is illegal to sell or give away a fluoride pill of 1 mg. Fluoride slowly destroys the body's self-repair and rejuvenation capabilities causing premature ageing, bone damage and deformities.
(Sodium fluoride is a dangerous poision and this is what is in your toothpaste an mouthwash.)
Fluoride increases the risk of hip fractures up to 41%. Fluoridation can cause tooth enamel mottling, poor health, mongolism in infants and increases the growth of cancer cells.
"Fluoridation is the greatest case of scientific fraud of this century, if not all time."

At a signing ceremony on Friday, the U.S. government, through the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Mexican government to allow Mexican Nationals – regardless of immigration status – to “exercise their workplace rights.”
Those laws include Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, the Equal Pay Act of 1963, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act of 2008.
The EEOC will conduct an ongoing program of education and training to inform Mexican Nationals about their workplace rights and employers about their responsibility to follow anti-discrimination laws.
When CNSNews.com asked how employers who have broken federal law by hiring illegal aliens can be sued for discrimination or abuse, a spokeswoman said EEOC does not require “documentation” to handle a claim.
“Yes, under federal law, it is illegal for employers to hire undocumented workers,” Kimberly Smith-Brown told CNSNews.com via email. “However, when someone does come to us with a complaint, we will assist them with their claim.
“The EEOC does not ask the documentation status of anyone that comes to our offices,” Smith-Brown said. “An undocumented worker is afforded the same protections under the law as everyone else.”

Is the universe is a hologram?
Experiment tests whether universe is a hologram
..........
Physicists at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory near Chicago, Illinois, announced this week that the Holometer, a device designed to test whether we live in a giant hologram, has started taking data.
"The theory is that space is made of waves instead of points, that everything is a little jittery, and never sits still," says Craig Hogan at the University of Chicago, who dreamed up the experiment.
The Holometer is designed to measure this "jitter". The surprisingly simple device is operated from a shed in a field near Chicago, and consists of two powerful laser beams that are directed through tubes 40 metres long. The lasers precisely measure the positions of mirrors along their paths at two points in time.
If space-time is smooth and shows no quantum behaviour, then the mirrors should remain perfectly still. But if both lasers measure an identical, small difference in the mirrors' position over time, that could mean the mirrors are being jiggled about by fluctuations in the fabric of space itself.
Hogan cautions that the idea that the universe is a hologram is somewhat misleading because it suggests that our experience is some kind of illusion, a projection like a television screen. If the Holometer finds a fundamental unit of space, it won't mean that our 3D world doesn't exist. Rather it will change the way we understand its basic makeup. And so far, the machine appears to be working.

How can we see light from distant stars if the universe is less than 10,000 years old?
.......
How can we see light from distant stars if the universe is less than 10,000 years old?
One of the primary evidences claimed for an old universe – and, by implication, an Earth billions of years old – is that light from the most distant stars can be observed on Earth today. It is argued that at the known speed or velocity of light it will have taken a great deal longer than, say, 6,000 years for it to have traveled from the distant stars to Earth.
There is an inherent assumption in this seemingly rational argument that flies in the face of real science. There are a few but well established laws of physics agreed to by astrophysicists and all other scientists. One of these laws is the Second Law of Thermodynamics. It states that everything in the known universe is slowing down or going to a state of lower energy. Put another way, everything known about the Earth and the universe is running downhill. For example, we know our cars rust and wear out. They do not get better as they age. In contrast, evolution is a theory – NOT a Law – claiming that the velocity of light is and always has been the same. Is the velocity of light really constant, and are all the other related "physical constants" also constant? The answer is no.
The velocity of light was first determined in 1675 when measurements were made based upon the eclipses of Jupiter's moons. Other, more refined methods have been employed since 1874. Between that date and the present, there is a statistically significant but small decrease in velocity. Interestingly, all the other related physical constants are also changing – either increasing or decreasing according to their relationship to the velocity of light.
Furthermore, velocity with respect to time is a hyperbolic function. In the case of light, this means that at Creation the velocity was extremely high and it then began to fall, very rapidly at first. Then, as time progressed, the rate at which the speed of light fell became less rapid. Today, it is almost a constant. The curve – showing the decreasing speed of light – is now almost horizontal. However, the small decrease is very real and still measurable.
From the biblical viewpoint, the light from the most distant stars probably reached the Garden of Eden a few days after creation. In other words, Adam's night sky became progressively brighter until it reached the grandeur seen today on a cloudless night in the dry deserts of Egypt. The night sky still evokes a sense of awe and wonder of the God who created it … just as it did in ancient times.

Making Sense of Light from Distant Stars
........
Making Sense of Light from Distant Stars
"What does Scripture tell us about the distance of galaxies and the time needed for light to travel between galaxies? Light needs millions of years to travel from a galaxy like Andromeda to the Earth, doesn't it?"
Scripture does not directly speak to the issue of light traveling from distant stars and galaxies. Neither does it say anything about the amount of time it takes for the light to reach Earth, but we do have some hints. For example, on Day 4 of Creation Week (Genesis 1:14-19), God calls forth the lights in the firmament. Adam was created on Day 6. He most likely saw many of the stars at that time, which is only two days later. This suggests that the starlight had to travel much faster than we would ordinarily think, assuming a uniform space and an apparent uniform speed of light.
So perhaps space is not uniform. Indeed, both Isaiah 42:5 and Isaiah 45:12 describe the heavens as being "stretched out" by God. If the heavens are stretched out, this is clearly not describing a uniform space but one that is stretched in at least parts of it. If the very fabric of space is stretched in parts, then light would travel much faster through these "stretchy" parts than through the non-stretched parts, such as around the galaxies. A simple analogy would be, for example, a guitar sting. Tightening a string produces a higher-pitched sound when plucked, but it also causes the sound wave to travel faster through the string. Thus, stretched (tighter) space would cause light to travel faster through it.
Einstein's Theory of General Relativity very accurately describes how space is distorted around matter – the heavier the matter, the more distorted space is around it. For example, his theory would predict that a massive object (say, a neutron star) between Earth and a distant light source (a bright star or galaxy, for example) should distort space enough for it to act like a lens. As the distant light source passed behind the massive object, at some point, instead of seeing one light source a person would actually see two – one on either side of the massive object. The distance between the two apparent stars is directly related to the lens effect (space distortion). This is, indeed, what is observed, and the distance between the two apparent stars is in perfect agreement with Einstein’s predictions.
This and other similar experiments prove that space is physically distorted by matter and is not uniform. Using Einstein's General Relativity equations, Mark Amunrud at the August 2013 International Conference on Creation suggested that light from the most distant galaxies (13.8 billion light years away) would reach Earth in just about one week.
So while Scripture doesn’t directly say that light travels much faster between the galaxies to arrive on Earth quickly, it gives us enough clues to piece together the puzzle.

US "justice" dept lied about Lois Lerner's missing e-mails
Judicial Watch: DOJ Admits Lois Lerner’s Emails Do Exist on Gov’t Backup System
.............
Curtis Kalin CBS
.............
A Department of Justice attorney admitted that “lost” emails from Lois Lerner’s hard drive do exist on an emergency backup system, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said today.
"The Department of Justice attorney told the Judicial Watch attorney on Friday that it turns out the federal government backs up all computer records in case something terrible happens in Washington and there is a catastrophe. So the government can continue operating. They say it would be too hard to go get Lois Lerner's e-mails from that back-up system.
"Everything we've been hearing about scratched hard drives, missing e-mails of Lois Lerner, other IRS officials, other officials in the Obama administration, it's all been a pack of malarkey. They could get these records but they don't want to and they haven't told anyone about it, frankly, until we were able to get it out of them on Friday. There's no such thing as Lois Lerner's missing e-mails. It's all been a big lie. They've been lying to the courts, to the American people and to Congress."
Judicial Watch has filed a lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) for all “missing” records from the same time period at the IRS.

Judicial Watch Statement on Discovery of Backups for “Missing” Lois Lerner IRS Emails
.............
(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced the following developments in the IRS’ missing emails investigation. Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton stated:
Department of Justice attorneys for the Internal Revenue Service told Judicial Watch on Friday that Lois Lerner’s emails, indeed all government computer records, are backed up by the federal government in case of a government-wide catastrophe. The Obama administration attorneys said that this back-up system would be too onerous to search. The DOJ attorneys also acknowledged that the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) is investigating this back-up system.
We obviously disagree that disclosing the emails as required would be onerous, and plan to raise this new development with Judge Sullivan.
This is a jaw-dropping revelation. The Obama administration had been lying to the American people about Lois Lerner’s missing emails. There are no “missing” Lois Lerner emails – nor missing emails of any of the other top IRS or other government officials whose emails seem to be disappearing at increasingly alarming rate. All the focus on missing hard drives has been a diversion.
The Obama administration has known all along where the email records could be – but dishonestly withheld this information. You can bet we are going to ask the court for immediate assistance in cutting through this massive obstruction of justice.

(Bubba is an average obama supporter.)
Your main "man" mr obama and his henchman eric holder have been lying to the courts, to the American people and to Congress and you Bubba.
Does this mean anything to you Bubba?
My guess is it doesn't because you are "chained" to obama and a "slave" to anything he says or does.
People who are not chained to obama are aware that the obama regime is an illegal regime. Obama and his henchmen should be arrested for treason before they destroy America.) Story Reports

Cambodian "range free" rat meat
Cambodian rat meat: A growing export market
..........
"Range free rats in the killing fields of cambodia"
..........
A unique harvest is under way in the rice fields of Cambodia where tens of thousands of wild rats are being trapped alive each day to feed a growing export market for the meat of rural rodents.
Popularly considered a disease-carrying nuisance in many societies, the rice field rats, Rattus argentiventer, of this small South-East Asian nation are considered a healthy delicacy due to their free-range lifestyle and largely organic diet.
Rat-catching season reaches its height after the rice harvest in June and July when rats have little to eat in this part of rural Kompong Cham province, some 60km from the capital Phnom Penh.
That lack of food coincides with seasonal rains that force the rodents onto higher ground, and into the 120 rat traps local farmer Chhoeun Chhim, 37, said he set each evening.
"Wild rats are very different. They eat different food," said Mr Chhim, explaining with a gourmand's intensity the difference between rice-field rats and their urban cousins, which he considers vermin unfit for the cooking pot.
Common rats "are dirty and they have a lot of scabies on their skin," Mr Chhim said. "That's why we don't catch them."
Somewhat proudly he listed off the superior eating habits of the rats he had caught the night before: rice stalks, the vegetable crops of unlucky local farmers, and the roots of wild plants.
Rat meat can be grilled, fried, boiled in a soup or minced up in a pate.

(Fried rat? Yep thats what they eat in vetnam and cambodia. This is in addition to grilled dog also.
"Rats are considered a healthy delicacy due to their free-range lifestyle and largely organic diet." Ummmmmmm Yum.
I'm sure there are some health nuts in this country that would purchase some "range rats" just because it had that on the label.
Your average rat that is not "range free fed on vegiees" is something you don't want to eat bubba, so don't get too excited.
