Paisano's Italian Restaurant mimics the Black Lives Matters Movement

Paisano’s Under Fire

Paisano's Italian Restaurant (NM) mimics the Black Lives Matters Movement

KOAT-TV reported Monday that Paisano’s in Albuquerque is selling “black olives matter” shirts and hats after making national headlines for putting the phrase on a sign outside the restaurant.

Paisano’s owner Rick Camuglia said he emblazoned the phrase on the restaurant's main sign to sell a new recipe: a tuna dish with black olive tapenade.

Camuglia posted pictures of the dish and the sign on Facebook, drawing complaints he was being insensitive and trivializing a movement aimed at trying to stop police shootings of black residents.

Camuglia insisted he was not trying to stir racial tensions and was only trying to sell food.

He said that people from all over the world has called his restaurant to show him support.

He said that he put the slogan on hats and T-shirts because people who supported the restaurant wanted to by a souvenir of sorts from the restaurant.

Camuglia also told the station that business is booming.

In the early 1970's, Joseph Camuglia opened Paisano's Italian Restaurant. Paisano's began with a limited menu featuring pizza and hearty Italian sandwiches on freshly baked bread, but soon grew to offer a complete Italian menu specializing in traditional preparations of fresh pasta, veal, fish, poultry and beef. Everything served is created in our on-premise kitchen from scratch.

Various businesses have realized the absurdity of state and federal governments rushing to demonize virtually all gun-owners in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook tragedy, and several have used the opportunity to send a strong and clear message to legislators seeking to eviscerate the Second Amendment.

A Virginia pizza shop is doing its part to uphold the Second Amendment and private gun rights by offering discounts to patrons who present concealed carry permits or visit the eatery possessing visible firearms.

ALL COUPONS WITH THE EXPIRATION DATE OF 1/31/2013 WILL BE EXTENDED TO 3/31/2013!
According to their website, the All Around Pizza and Deli shop in Virginia Beach is offering a 15 percent discount for customers who “show us you carry openly or show us a concealed weapons permit.”

But some companies have not been as accommodating of gun rights advocates.

Internet deal giant Groupon.com canceled a Texas gun shop’s deal on concealed handgun courses.

According to Central Texas Gun Works owner Michael Cargill, after pressuring him to increase the threshold of his Groupon offer, a representative for Groupon called him back and said that their CEO had “decided to suspend all gun deals, anything having to do with guns, gun training, shooting clays, gun ranges; they suspended all gun deals.”

Cargill labeled Groupon’s actions “a direct attack on lawful gun ownership” and called for a boycott of the company, saying it is “an organization that clearly has no respect for those of us who, whether for recreation or personal protection, choose to exercise their constitutional right.”

(This is a great idea and a good way for citizens to show their support for businesses that know the 2nd amendment is the only thing keeping obama and his fellow comrads from doing anything they want with Americans. I would like to see this done on a national basis.) Story Reports
