Americans will "honour" President Trump by reelecting him in Nov 2020 in a landslide election also establishing a majority in the US House and US Senate.
The democratic majority in the US House have constructed a "gallows" for President Trump that they themselves will entertain in Nov 2020 as they perish in the election.
Republicans have a 53-47 majority in the chamber, and can afford up to three defections when the Senate considers whether to call additional witnesses Friday -- a question that is considered by a simple majority vote.
In the event of a 50-50 tie, by rule, the vote on witnesses would fail in the Senate.
Chief Justice of the United States John Roberts is likely to abstain rather than assert his debatable power to cast a tie-breaking vote.

Wrapping up the second day of questioning by the Senate jurors, Chief Justice John Roberts called on the House managers to answer the final question of the evening.
"Could you please respond to the answer just given by the president's counsel and provide any other comments the Senate would benefit from hearing before we adjourn for the evening?" Roberts read from the card.

The Trump campaign had some fun at the expense of House Intelligence Committee chairman and leading House impeachment manager Adam Schiff, D-Calif, in a Looney Tunes-style cartoon featuring him as "Schiff T. Coyote."
The cartoon, titled "Schiff Hits the Fan," shows Schiff in an outfit resembling the classic character Wile E. Coyote chasing down "Trump Runner," who looks exactly like Road Runner but with tall blonde feathers.
Their given scientific names are "Politicus Hackitus" and "Tweetatus Maximus," respectfully.
