Nowhere does Scripture state that in order to keep the church from error, the authority of the apostles was passed on to those they ordained (apostolic succession). Apostolic succession is “read into” those verses that the Roman Catholic Church uses to support this doctrine. In Galatians 1:8-9, Paul states that it is not WHO teaches but WHAT is being taught that is to be used to determine truth from error. The message of Jesus to the church of Thyatira was clear. Those that do not repent of this deceptive, intoxicating teaching of the Roman Catholic Church will most certainly be CAST… INTO GREAT TRIBULATION-Rev 2:22.

FOR CENTURIES, Christians have recognized Islam as a false religion. No matter how intellectual, civilized, or scientific Islam is made to appear, it is still a religion which embodies "another gospel.- which is not another" (Gal. 1:6-7). The Lord declares it accursed (Gal. 1:8). The "gospel" of Islam is something quite different. Similar to many modern cults, Islam claims to revere the writings of all the prophets. Yet, Muslims unequivocally subjugate the Scriptures to the "prophecy" of Muhammad. Muhammad was the bearer of wicked doctrines that have plunged many into the outer darkness of eternal torment. By denying these truths which are fundamental to the Gospel of salvation by grace through faith alone, Islam has laid the groundwork for a "gospel" of self righteousness and salvation by works. The Bible teaches that salvation is NOT a reward. Heaven is the eternal abode of those who have received Christ the Saviour.

Charles T. Russell (1852- 1916) founded the JW movement. He denied the deity of Christ and the biblical teachings on hell and eternal punishment. Russell had no formal Bible training, but borrowed and built upon various teachings that were popular at the time. Adventism influenced his denial of hell, and a splinter Adventist group led by N.H. Barbour aroused his interest in endtime prophecies. From Barbour he borrowed the belief that Christ returned invisibly to the world in 1874, and that 1914 was the year the world would be destroyed and the Millennium would begin. Rutherford (1869-1942) also used the threat of Armageddon to intimidate JWs. Under the leadership of Nathan H. Knorr (1905-1977) the WT Society put away date setting for a time and switched to a different strategy. Since many of their teachings could be refuted by key verses in the King James Bible, Knorr set out to publish a different Bible for JWs to use. Called the New World Translation (NWT), it blatantly altered many verses to support Watchtower doctrine. The Bible warns us that many false prophets will come claiming to speak for God (Matthew 7:15; 1John 4: 1). Thankfully, it also provides a practical test for identifying false prophets. In Deuteronomy 18:21-22 we are told that anyone who claims to speak as a prophet of God and predicts something that does not come true is a false prophet. According to the Bible, one false prophecy makes the speaker a false prophet. By this test the Watchtower Society's prophecies concerning 1914, 1915, 1918, 1920, 1925 and 1975 prove beyond a doubt it is a false prophet and that we should turn away from this group's deceptive doctrines.

The Mormon movement began with "the prophet" Joseph Smith, Jr. in the year 1820. The Book of Mormon contains many plagiarisms of the King James English (at least 25,000 words). This is strange since the plates were supposed to have been in the ground many centuries before the King James Bible was completed in 1611! The Mormon people of today are highly respected in our society, but there is nothing respectable about their doctrines. Mormons teach that man can become God, and that God was once a man: Nowhere does the Bible say or imply that God was ever a man, or that man can become God! Malachi 3:6 says, "For I am the LORD, I change not..." How could this be true if God was once a man? Genesis 1:1 states that God existed "in the beginning" before man was ever created. John 4:24 states that God is a "spirit," and Jesus tells us in John 1:18 that no man has seen God at any time. Numbers 23:19 says that "God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man that he should repent." God has always been God, and no one has ever "become" God. The Deity of Jesus Christ is a fundamental doctrine of Christianity, yet the Mormons deny this truth, exalting man to "god status". Jesus Christ is not acknowledged as the eternal Son of God in the Mormon church. The Mormon Jesus was a preexisting spirit who was exalted, just as Mormon followers hope to be exalted someday.

God is a Trinity (I Jn. 5:7), and the second Member of that Trinity is the Lord Jesus Christ. John 1:1 says that "the Word was God," and John 1:14 tells us that "the Word was made flesh." Jesus Christ is the Word incarnate, and John 1:1 tells us that the Word was God; so Jesus Christ is God.

There are two ways to approach the subject of Buddhism. One approach is to look at Buddhism as it has existed in Asia . It is a very important part of the culture there. It is “engrained” in the habits and lifestyle of millions of Asian people. The other way is to study it as practiced by people in the western world. Many who practice Buddhism in the west have first rejected the Bible and so-called “Christianity.” When they do not see what they like in this area, they turn to eastern religions. Unfortunately, most of these have never been exposed to true New Testament Christianity, therefore do not make a true comparison between what the Bible teaches and what Buddhism teaches. Because many have already rejected false “Christianity,” they have difficulty accepting the truth (Genesis 37:31-34; 45:26-28). God did not institute contradictory religions because "God is not the author of confusion" (1 Corinthians 14:33 ).

There are so many religions or philosophies that claim to be the guide for people in this life. Buddhism makes this claim. Buddhism is one of many eastern religions that fits into Paul's description of those who "changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man.... Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator" (Romans 1:23 ,25).

The word "Hindu" is of Persian origin and means "Indian." Hinduism is the root of Buddhism as Buddha (Gautama) was raised in Hinduism and drew heavily from its philosophies. Hinduism by its nature is eclectic, as it has no definable beginning or founder. Hinduism like all other non-Christian religions accept various ideas of "God" and cannot define a true saving relationship with the God of heaven and creator of us all. Hinduism is marked by the worship and belief in many forms of "God." It is this idea of an undefined "higher power" that has influenced much of Western culture from Alcoholics Anonymous' "God who you perceive Him to be" and Masonry's "great architect." All of these are a generic "God" that can be anything one chooses Him to be rather than the clearly defined God of Scripture. "For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him." (1 Corinthians 8:5-6 KJV) "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; " (Titus 3:5 KJV)

An Atheist's Error. "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness ;" -Romans 1:18 The Atheist makes the grave and deadly error of deliberately rejecting the truth! But is Atheism really an error? Atheism is no mistake friend, it is a willing rejection of God Almighty. No child is an Atheist. A person does not become an Atheist until they've been brainwashed by some heathen teacher in a public school or godless university (or sadly by Atheist parents). Romans 1:18 teaches that mankind, even in his unrighteousness, HOLDS THE TRUTH. "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men," -Titus 2:11 The Atheist makes the foolish mistake of rejecting God. According to the Word of God, there is NO such thing as an Atheist... "Because that, when they knew God , they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools," -Romans 1:21-22

(Repentance involves the very process of conversion whereby men are born again) Repent- means a change of mind that results in a change of conduct. Repentance is not merely sorrow. It involves a complete change of attitude regarding GOD and sin and is accompained by a sense of sorrow and a change in conduct. Such repentance does not arise within man himself, but is the result of GOD's mercy in leading man to it , Acts 5:31; Rom 2:4 2 Tim 2:25. Thus repentance involves the very process of conversion whereby men are born again.
