viral replication occurs.

Other Natural Zinc Transporters — Quercetin and EGCG
The good news is drugs like chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine
probably would not be necessary either (except for perhaps the most
serious cases), as other natural compounds can do the same job.
‘Poor Man’s Coronavirus Defense’
In closing, Sardi proposes imitating Zelenko’s COVID-19 protocol
using natural remedies if you have symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection and
cannot obtain a prescription for chloroquine/hydroxychloroquine and a
Z-Pak:
A natural antibiotic such as cinnamon extract or oil of oregano
Quercetin as a zinc ionophore (to enhance zinc entrance into cells)
Zinc, up to 30 milligrams per day
Vitamin B3 (niacin), 25 to 50 mg per day, and selenium to further boost bioavailability of zinc

Zinc + Niacin + Selenium Is a Winning Combo

Some nutritional factors (zinc, niacin, selenium) may
remodel these changes leading to a possible escaping of diseases, with
the consequence of healthy ageing, because they are involved in
improving immune functions, metabolic homeostasis and antioxidant
defense.
Experiments … show that zinc is important for immune
efficiency (both innate and adaptive), metabolic homeostasis (energy
utilization and hormone turnover) and antioxidant activity (SOD enzyme).
Niacin is a precursor of NAD+, the substrate for the
activity of DNA repair enzyme PARP-1 and, consequently, may contribute
to maintaining genomic stability. Selenium provokes zinc release by
metallothioneins (MT), via reduction of glutathione peroxidase.
This fact is crucial in ageing because high MT may be
unable to release zinc with subsequent low intracellular free zinc ion
availability for immune efficiency, metabolic harmony and antioxidant
activity.
Taking into account the existence of zinc
transporters … for cellular zinc efflux and influx, respectively, the
association between zinc transporters and MT is crucial in maintaining
satisfactory intracellular zinc homeostasis in ageing.
Improved immune performance, metabolic homeostasis, antioxidant
defense occur in elderly after physiological zinc supplementation … The
association ‘zinc plus selenium’ improves humoral immunity in old
subjects after influenza vaccination.”
Your immune system is your first line of defense against all disease,
especially infectious disease, and there are many different ways to
boost your immune system and improve its function. One nutrient that
plays a very important role in your immune system’s ability to ward off
viral infections is zinc.
Zinc gluconate,1 zinc acetate2 and zinc sulphate3 have
all been shown to reduce the severity and duration of viral infections
such as the common cold. Zinc also appears to be the key ingredient in treatment protocols using hydroxychloroquine (HCQ).
The reason for this is because HCQ is a zinc ionophore (zinc transport molecule),4,5 meaning it’s a drug that improves your cells’ uptake of zinc. Once inside your cells, zinc prevents viral replication.6 This is also why zinc and zinc ionophores need to be taken very early in the illness, or as a prophylactic.
The problem is that zinc is largely insoluble and cannot easily enter
through the fatty wall of your cells. Getting all the way into the cell
is crucial, as this is where the viral replication occurs. This is why
zinc ionophores are so important.
Aside from hydroxychloroquine, other natural, and safer, zinc ionophores include quercetin and
epigallocatechin-gallate (EGCG). If given early, zinc along with a zinc
ionophore should, at least theoretically, help lower the viral load and
prevent the immune system from becoming overloaded.
Zinc Is Crucial for Healthy Immune Function
Zinc is crucial for healthy immune function — like vitamin D, it actually helps regulate your immune function.
Importantly, zinc deficiency has been shown to impair immune function.10 As noted in a 2013 paper on zinc deficiency:11
“Zinc is a second messenger of immune cells, and
intracellular free zinc in these cells participate in signaling events.
Zinc … is very effective in decreasing the incidence of infection in the
elderly. Zinc not only modulates cell-mediated immunity but is also an
antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent.”
Similarly, the September 2020 paper in Medical Hypotheses, “Does Zinc
Supplementation Enhance the Clinical Efficacy of Chloroquine /
Hydroxychloroquine to Win Todays Battle Against COVID-19?” points out
that:12
“Besides direct antiviral effects, CQ/HCQ [chloroquine
and hydroxychloroquine] specifically target extracellular zinc to
intracellular lysosomes where it interferes with RNA-dependent RNA
polymerase activity and coronavirus replication.
As zinc deficiency frequently occurs in elderly
patients and in those with cardiovascular disease, chronic pulmonary
disease, or diabetes, we hypothesize that CQ/HCQ plus zinc
supplementation may be more effective in reducing COVID-19 morbidity and
mortality than CQ or HCQ in monotherapy. Therefore, CQ/HCQ in
combination with zinc should be considered as additional study arm for
COVID-19 clinical trials.”
Low Zinc Levels Increase COVID-19 Death Risk
Preliminary data also suggest people with low zinc levels are more
likely to die from COVID-19 than those with higher levels. The research13,14,15,16,17 was
presented at the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and
Infectious Disease (ESCMID) Conference on Coronavirus Disease,18 held online September 23 through September 25, 2020, and posted19 on the preprint server medRxiv October 11, 2020.
In the video above, Dr. John Campbell reviews this and other zinc research. As noted by the authors of this study,20 “Zinc
balances immune responses and also has a proven direct antiviral action
against some viruses.” As mentioned, zinc’s primary antiviral action is
to impair viral replication inside the cell.
To evaluate the importance of plasma zinc levels on COVID-19
outcomes, the researchers did a retrospective analysis of 249 COVID-19
patients admitted to a hospital in Barcelona, Spain, between Mach 15 and
April 30, 2020, for whom fasting plasma zinc levels were recorded. The
average patient age was 63.
Patients who had low zinc levels upon admission were found to have
higher levels of inflammation during the course of their illness, and
they were also more likely to die from complications related to
COVID-19. As reported by Medical Xpress:21
“Mean baseline zinc levels among the 249 patients
were 61 mcg/dl. Among those who died, the zinc levels at baseline were
significantly lower at 43 mcg/dl vs 63.1 mcg/dl in survivors.
Higher zinc levels were associated with lower maximum
levels of interleukin-6 (proteins that indicate systemic inflammation)
during the period of active infection.
After adjusting by age, sex, severity and receiving
hydroxychloroquine, statistical analysis showed each unit increase of
plasma zinc at admission to hospital was associated with a 7% reduced
risk of in-hospital mortality.
Having a plasma zinc level lower than 50 mcg/dl at
admission was associated with a 2.3 times increased risk of in-hospital
death compared with those patients with a plasma zinc level of 50 mcg/dl
or higher.”
Natural Zinc Transporters — Quercetin and EGCG
As mentioned, quercetin and EGCG are natural zinc ionophores that can do the same job as HCQ.
Aside from increasing zinc uptake, both quercetin and EGCG also inhibit 3CL protease31 — an enzyme used by SARS coronaviruses to infect healthy cells.32 As explained in a 2020 paper33 in Nature, 3CL protease “is essential for processing the polyproteins that are translated from the viral RNA.”
And, according to another 2020 study,34 the
ability of quercetin, EGCG and certain other flavonoids to inhibit SARS
coronaviruses “is presumed to be directly linked to suppress the
activity of SARS-CoV 3CLpro in some cases.”
Niacin (vitamin B3) and selenium also improve the absorption and bioavailability of zinc. For example, a study35 published
in 1991 demonstrated that when young women were on a vitamin
B6-deficient diet, their serum zinc declined, suggesting B6 deficiency
affected zinc metabolism such that “absorbed zinc was not available for
utilization.”

More Support for Quercetin
Support for the use of quercetin against COVID-19 has also been reported by the Green Stars Project. Using
the supercomputer SUMMIT, Oak Ridge National Lab researchers looked for
molecules capable of inhibiting the COVID-19 spike protein from
interacting with human cells. Quercetin is fifth on that list.
Quercetin is also a potent antiviral in general. As detailed in “Quercetin Lowers Your Risk for Viral Illnesses,” mechanisms of action that can make it useful against COVID-19 include:
Inhibiting virus’ ability to infect cells.
Inhibiting replication of already infected cells.
Reducing infected cells’ resistance to treatment with antiviral medication.
Inhibiting lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) production in macrophages. TNF-α
is a cytokine involved in systemic inflammation, secreted by activated
macrophages, a type of immune cell that digests foreign substances,
microbes and other harmful or damaged components.
Inhibiting release of proinflammatory cytokines and histamine by modulating calcium influx into the cell.
Stabilizing mast cells.
Regulating the basic functional properties of immune cells.
Down-regulating or suppressing inflammatory pathways and functions
Another factor to keep in mind is that certain additives can inhibit
zinc absorption, which is the complete opposite of what you’re looking
for. For instance, research has shown citric acid, glycine, mannitol and
sorbitol can reduce zinc absorption,48 so zinc lozenges containing these ingredients may be less useful.
How Much Zinc Do You Need?
That said, the recommended dietary allowance for zinc in the U.S is
11 mg for adult men and 8 mg for adult women, with slightly higher doses
recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.49
As a prophylactic against COVID-19 and other viral infections,
Masterjohn recommends taking 7 mg to 15 mg of zinc four times a day,
ideally on an empty stomach, or with a phytate-free food. He also
recommends getting at least 1 mg of copper from food and supplements for
every 15 mg of zinc you take.
Last but not least, remember there are many food sources of zinc, so a
supplement may not be necessary. I eat about three-quarters of a pound
of ground bison or lamb a day, which provides 20 mg of zinc. I
personally don’t take any zinc supplement other than what I get from my
food, which is likely in an optimal form to maximize absorption.
When the Senate votes on Monday evening to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the United States Supreme Court, it will be just over a week before Election Day that will decide what both parties are portraying as the most important race in American history.
If
Barrett is confirmed to become a member of the highest bench in the
country – and, with Republicans easily having enough votes to confirm
her, that seems to be a foregone conclusion – one of the first cases she
could hear as a new Supreme Court justice could decide who wins the
White House.
Courts at all levels have been deluged with cases relating to
balloting in the run up to Election Day – and amid the ongoing
coronavirus pandemic – but one in particular has garnered nation
attention.
Republicans in the key battleground state of
Pennsylvania want the Supreme Court to rule on whether ballots received
after Election Day can be counted. With the state still very much up for
grabs and its 20 Electoral College votes possibly being the key to who
the country’s next president is, both Republicans and Democrats are
heavily invested in what happens to those late-arriving ballots.
The Supreme Court justices split 4-4 last Monday over a Republican
plea to undo a state court order and force elections officials to ignore
absentee ballots received after Election Day, Nov. 3. The tie vote left
the Pennsylvania court order in effect and allows mailed ballots to be
counted if they are received by Nov. 6. Chief Justice John Roberts and
his three liberal colleagues voted to leave the court order in place.
With
the possibility of Barrett, a conservative jurist, joining the bench
and giving the Court a 6-3 conservative majority, Republicans are
hopeful that the Supreme Court would rule in favor of ignoring the
ballots received after Election Day.
Democrats, on the other
hand, are decrying Barrett’s confirmation as a political act by
President Trump to help him maintain the White House in a race that
shows him consistently losing in the polls and as “voter suppression”
tactic.
“One
more vote, provided by a hard-right, Trump-nominated justice, could be
the difference between voting rights and voting suppression,” Senate
Democratic leader Chuck Schumer of New York said on Tuesday.
Trump
already has signaled one reason for Barrett’s speedy nomination, just
eight days after Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death, was to have her
confirmed and installed on the court in time for any election lawsuit
that might reach the justices.
“I think it's better if you go before the election because I think
this scam that the Democrats are pulling, it’s a scam, this scam will be
before the United States Supreme Court," Trump said shortly after the
death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg last month. "And I think having a
4-4 situation is not a good situation. If you get that. I don’t know
that you’d get that. I think it should be eight-to-nothing or
nine-to-nothing, but just in case it would be more political than it
should be."
The court’s conservatives, Roberts included, have
regularly sided with state officials who object when a federal court
relaxes election rules, even if the changes arise from the coronavirus
pandemic.
At the same time, the Supreme Court generally won’t disturb state court rulings that are rooted in state law.
Pennsylvania Republicans relied in part on an opinion from Justice
Clarence Thomas and two other conservative justices in Bush v. Gore to
argue that the Supreme Court should get involved in the case because the
state court had improperly taken powers given by the U.S. Constitution
to state lawmakers when it comes to presidential elections. The court
ruled for Bush on other grounds, that ballots were being handled
differently across the state in violation of the Constitution’s
guarantee of equal protection.
Two Republicans voted against ending debate, Sens. Susan Collins,
R-Maine., and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska. Murkowski has, however,
indicated that she will vote to confirm Barrett.

Colorado - A real possibility.
Arizona - Could go either way.
Maine - Could go either way.

The odds are the Democrtes will not flip all 4 of these US senate seats.
Because the US Senate vote results will be close in these 4 states the democrates will contest the results in these 4 states for sure if they think they can win.
The US Supreme Court will rule on the results of these states or a combination of these states.
Because Amy Barrett will give the conservatives on the Supreme Court a 5 to 4 majority some or all of the results of the US Senate votes in these 4 states will be ruled in favor of President Trump.
This WILL be the deciding factor in the 2020 elections.
The democrates will LOOSE if they contest the US Senate races in the 4 states they need to flip.
What this will mean is the Republicans will continue to have a majority in the US Senate on Jan 3, 2021.
This is crucial when the 2020 electorial ballots are counted in the joint session of Congress on Jan 6, 2021!

Obama’s top terrorism and intelligence adviser, John O. Brennan,
heads a firm that was cited in March for breaching sensitive files in
the State Department’s passport office, according to a State Department
Inspector General’s report released this past July.
The security breach, first reported by the Washington Times and later
confirmed by State Department spokesman Sean McCormack, involved a
contract employee of Brennan’s firm, The Analysis Corp., which has
earned millions of dollars providing intelligence-related consulting
services to federal agencies and private companies.
During a State Department briefing on March 21, 2008, McCormack
confirmed that the contractor had accessed the passport files of
presidential candidates Barack Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and John

At the time of the breach, Brennan was working as an unpaid adviser to the Obama campaign.
The passport files include “personally identifiable information such
as the applicant’s name, gender, social security number, date and place
of birth, and passport number,” according to the inspector general
report.
The files may contain additional information including “original
copies of the associated documents,” the report added. Such documents
include birth certificates, naturalization certificates, or oaths of
allegiance for U.S.-born persons who adopted the citizenship of a
foreign country as minors.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck E Schumer on Sunday night, 11 Oct, promised that Democrats will not "supply quorum" for votes to advance Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett's
confirmation effort, essentially meaning that Democrats will boycott
the votes in an attempt to stall the confirmation ahead of the
election.
"We will talk about when the actual vote occurs in committee and on the
floor. Democrats will not supply the quorum," Schumer said. "Period."
A quorum is the minimum number of members present for a committee or
the full Senate to conduct business and hold votes. The quorum in the
full Senate is 51 members and the quorum of the Judiciary Committee is
nine members including two in the minority party. This means that if one
or fewer Democrats show up to the planned Oct. 22 meeting where the
Judiciary Committee plans to vote on the Barrett confirmation then they
could prevent the committee from reporting the nomination to the
Senate.
There are ways around this. Most notably, the Senate can
vote on a discharge resolution that would remove the responsibility of
considering the Barrett nomination from the committee, allowing Senate
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to call the nomination for a
full vote. The committee itself could also change its rules to get rid
of the requirement that two Democrats be present.
There are 53 Republicans in the Senate, meaning that even if all
Democrats boycott the final floor vote they will not be able to stop
Republicans from having a quorum. But if any of the three Republican
senators who are currently recovering from the coronavirus are still
under quarantine at that time, of if there are new cases in the GOP
caucus, that could complicate things logistically for Republicans.
McConnell must move to shift the Senate into executive session (versus
legislative session) to specifically consider the Barrett nomination.
Such a process likely requires a vote -- but is not debatable (subject
to a filibuster).
He needs 51 Republican votes to do this.
McConnell could file cloture to curb debate, on the Senate floor, and overcome a filibuster.
There is NO doubt that the democrates will talk their heads off trying to filibuster and stop the Inevitable Confirmation Of Judgement Looming.
McConnell, also know as THE TURTLE, could do this as early as Friday, Oct. 23.
Regardless of when McConnell files cloture, by rule, the “cloture
petition” (to end debate on the nomination) ripens for a vote after an
intervening day.
If McConnell, also know as THE TURTLE, files cloture to end debate on
Friday, Oct. 23, then Saturday, Oct. 24, is the intervening day.
A cloture vote halts a filibuster, which is where a senator keeps talking his head off non stop.
The
cloture petition would ripen on Sunday, Oct. 25. By rule, the Senate can
begin voting to end debate on the nomination one hour after the Senate
meets, following the intervening day. Again, if they really want to hit
the gas, this could happen at 1 a.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 25.
It’s more likely the Senate votes to end debate on the nomination on Monday, Oct. 26, or later in the week.
Under
the provisions of “Nuclear Option II” (where McConnell established a
new precedent -- not a rules change -- lowering the bar to end a
filibuster on Supreme Court nominations from 60 votes to 51 to confirm
Justice Neil Gorsuch), the Senate would vote to end debate on the
nomination. That entails a simple majority. Once cloture on the
nomination is “invoked” (halting a filibuster), debate is then limited
to 30 hours.
Once 30 hours have expired, the Senate may take an up-or-down vote on
the nomination itself. It only needs 51 votes to confirm Barrett.
That’s
why the actual, confirmation of judgement looming, of Judge Barrett won’t happen until
the middle or end of the week of Oct. 25, likely Oct. 28-30.

The Mac Shop, John Paul Mac Isaac's computer repair store in Delaware.
This is where a man possibly Hunter Biden dropped off three laptops at
his store in April 2019, only one of which was salvageable. While
repairing the laptop, Isaac said he discovered disturbing material about Hunter Biden.
The
customer, Hunter Biden or someone working for him, did not return for the laptop within 90 days and Isaac could
not get in touch with him. Isaac said he first searched the emails by
keyword in June or July of 2019.
“If I'm somebody that has no journalistic ability, no detective
ability or investigative ability and I was able to find stuff in a short
period of time, somebody else should have been able to find something
to show,” Isaac said.
In September, he contacted an intermediary about the emails. The intermediary then contacted the FBI.
Isaac
said the intermediary is an American citizen who he has known for
decades, but declined to provide further details about their identity.
According
to Isaac’s account, the FBI first made a forensic copy of the laptop,
then returned weeks later with a subpoena and confiscated it. When he
stopped hearing from the FBI, Isaac said he contacted several members of
Congress, who did not respond. At that point, his intermediary reached
out to Rudy Giuliani’s attorney, Robert Costello.
An
attorney for Hunter Biden told the New York Post that Giuliani “has
been pushing widely discredited conspiracy theories about the Biden
family, openly relying on actors tied to Russian intelligence.”
The New York Post published photos of a Delaware federal subpoena that detailed the FBI's seizure of a laptop and hard drive.
When
asked what he hoped would come of the information once it went public,
Isaac was ambivalent about his motives. He acknowledged the current
political landscape had played a role in his actions and specifically
referenced Trump’s impeachment as a motivating factor.
“I wanted
-- above all, I wanted safety and security,” Isaac said. “I wanted
anonymity. I wanted just to be [able] to wash my hands of it, and like
it never happened. And that did not happen.”
In
the email published by the New York Post, Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser
to the board of Burisma, thanked Hunter Biden for introducing him to
then-Vice President Joe Biden. Less than a year after the meeting took
place, Biden is accused of pressuring the Ukrainian government to fire a prosecutor who had launched an investigation into Burisma.
“Dear
Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to
meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic]
an honor and pleasure,” the email reads.
The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee is investigating the newly released emails, Fox News confirmed.
"Investigations by the press, during impeachment, and even by two
Republican-led Senate committees whose work was decried as 'not
legitimate' and political by a GOP colleague have all reached the same
conclusion: that Joe Biden carried out official U.S. policy toward
Ukraine and engaged in no wrongdoing,” Biden campaign spokesman Andrew
Bates said in a statement. “Trump administration officials have attested
to these facts under oath.”
President Trump was Impeached for telling the truth about Joe Biden and his total corruption.
Critics have long alleged that Hunter Biden leveraged his father’s
position in the Obama administration to enrich himself in his personal
business dealings. The Trump campaign has repeatedly exposed Joe Biden's corruption on
the campaign trail regarding his son’s conduct.
Smoking-gun email reveals how Hunter Biden introduced Ukrainian businessman to VP dad
Hunter Biden introduced his father, then-Vice President Joe
Biden, to a top executive at a Ukrainian energy firm less than a year
before the elder Biden pressured government officials in Ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company, according to emails obtained by The Post.
The never-before-revealed meeting is mentioned in a message of
appreciation that Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma,
allegedly sent Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter
joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month.
“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an
opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s
realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” the email reads.
An earlier email from May 2014 also shows Pozharskyi, reportedly
Burisma’s No. 3 exec, asking Hunter for “advice on how you could use
your influence” on the company’s behalf.
The computer was dropped off at a repair shop in Biden’s home state of Delaware in April 2019, according to the store’s owner.
Other material extracted from the computer includes a raunchy, 12-minute video that appears to show Hunter, who’s admitted struggling with addiction problems, smoking crack while engaged in a sex act with an unidentified woman, as well as numerous other sexually explicit images.
The customer who brought in the water-damaged MacBook Pro for repair
never paid for the service or retrieved it or a hard drive on which its
contents were stored, according to the shop owner, who said he tried
repeatedly to contact the client.
The shop owner couldn’t positively identify the customer as Hunter
Biden, but said the laptop bore a sticker from the Beau Biden
Foundation, named after Hunter’s late brother and former Delaware
attorney general.
Photos of a Delaware federal subpoena given to The Post show that
both the computer and hard drive were seized by the FBI in December,
after the shop’s owner says he alerted the feds to their existence.
But before turning over the gear, the shop owner says, he made a copy
of the hard drive and later gave it to former Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s
lawyer, Robert Costello.
Steve Bannon, former adviser to President Trump, told The Post about
the existence of the hard drive in late September and Giuliani provided
The Post with a copy of it on Sunday.
Less than eight months after Pozharskyi thanked Hunter Biden for the
introduction to his dad, the then-vice president admittedly pressured
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Arseniy
Yatsenyuk into getting rid of Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin by
threatening to withhold a $1 billion US loan guarantee during a December
2015 trip to Kiev.
“I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the
prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money,” Biden infamously
bragged to the Council on Foreign Relations in 2018.
“Well, son of a bitch. He got fired.”
Shokin has said that at the time of his firing, in March 2016, he’d
made “specific plans” to investigate Burisma that “included
interrogations and other crime-investigation procedures into all members
of the executive board, including Hunter Biden.”
Joe Biden has insisted that the US wanted Shokin removed over corruption concerns, which were shared by the European Union.
Meanwhile, an email dated May 12, 2014 —
shortly after Hunter Biden joined the Burisma board — shows Pozharskyi
attempting to get him to use his political leverage to help the company.
The message had the subject line “urgent issue” and was also sent to
Hunter Biden’s business partner, Devon Archer, who also sat on the
Burisma board at the time.
Pozharskyi said that “the representatives of new authorities in power
tend to quite aggressively approach N. Z. unofficially with the aim to
obtain cash from him.”
When the alleged shakedown failed, “they proceeded with concrete
actions” in the form of “one or more pretrial proceedings,” Pozharskyi
wrote.
“We urgently need your advice on how you could use your influence to
convey a message / signal, etc .to stop what we consider to be
politically motivated actions,” he added.
Hunter Biden responded by saying he was with Archer in Doha, Qatar,
and asked for more information about “the formal (if any) accusations
being made against Burisma.”
“Who is ultimately behind these attacks on the company? Who in the
current interim government could put an end to such attacks?” he added.
The exchange came the same day that Burisma announced it had expanded
its board of directors by adding Hunter Biden, who was put in charge of
its “legal unit and will provide support for the Company among
international organizations,” according to a news release that’s since
been scrubbed from Burisma’s website.
Hunter Biden actually joined the board in April 2014, according to multiple reports.
His lawyer said last year that Hunter was “not a member of the
management team,” adding, “At no time was Hunter in charge of the
company’s legal affairs.”
About four months after Hunter Biden’s correspondence with
Pozharskyi, Archer forwarded Hunter Biden an email chain with the
subject line “tax raise impact on Burisma production,” which included
Pozharskyi saying that the Ukrainian cabinet had submitted new tax
legislation to the country’s parliament.
“If enacted, this law would kill the entire private gas production sector in the bud,” Pozharskyi wrote.
In the Sept. 24, 2014, email, Pozharskyi also said he was “going to
share this information with the US embassy here in Kyiv, as well as the
office of Mr Amos Hochstein in the States.”
At the time, Hochstein was the State Department’s newly appointed
special envoy and coordinator for international energy affairs.
In December 2017, the Naftogaz Group, Ukraine’s state-owned energy
company, announced that Hochstein had joined the company as an
independent director, but on Monday he announced his resignation.
“The company has been forced to spend endless amounts of time
combating political pressure and efforts by oligarchs to enrich
themselves through questionable transactions,” Hochstein wrote in an
op-ed published by the Kyiv Post.
In addition to denying that’s he’s spoken to Hunter Biden about his
overseas business dealings, Joe Biden has repeatedly denied any conflict
of interest or wrongdoing by either of them involving Burisma.
Last February, he got testy during an appearance on NBC’s “Today” show
when co-host Savannah Guthrie questioned whether it was “wrong for
[Hunter] to take that position, knowing that it was really because that
company wanted access to you.”
“Well, that’s not true. You’re saying things you do not know what you’re talking about,” the elder Biden responded.
In

Under President Barack Obama, the elder Biden was the point person
for US policy toward Ukraine, and he held a press conference there with
Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk on April 22, 2014.
The email, labeled from Robert Biden — Hunter’s first name — is among
a trove of messages, documents, photos and videos purportedly recovered from a MacBook Pro laptop that a Delaware computer shop owner told The Post was brought in for repair in April 2019 and never picked up.
In the email, Hunter Biden wrote to Archer, “We need to ask for long
term agreement and across the board participation. This is a huge step
for us that could easily become very complicated. And if we are not
protected financially regardless of the outcome we could find ourselves
frozen out of a lot of current and future opportunities.
“The contract should begin now- not after the upcoming visit of my guy.
“That should include a retainer in the range of 25k p/m w/ additional
fees where appropriate for more in depth work to go to BSF for our
protection. Complete separate from our respective deals re board
participation.”
