JESSE JACKSON WANTS TO CUT OBAMA'S 'NUTS OUT'

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jessie, Obama has no nuts to cut off. Neither of you Liberals have the nuts to do anything but screw up everything you come in contact with. This would be real change we can believe in, I say go ahead Jessie!

JESSE JACKSON SAYS HE WANTS TO CUT OBAMA'S 'NUTS OUT'

By CHARLES HURT, D.C. Bureau Chief
Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama

July 9, 2008

WASHINGTON - In a vulgar tirade caught on tape by Fox News, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said he wanted to "cut his [Barack Obama's] nuts out" and he accused the fellow Chicagoan of "talking down to black folks" by giving moral lectures to African-Americans, source said.

Jackson's shocking quotes were picked up by a hot mic before an interview on health care in Fox's Chicago studio last Sunday.

Fox planned to air the recording on Bill O'Reilly's "The Factor" show.

In an effort to blunt the controversy, Jackson issued an apology.

"For any harm or hurt that this hot mic conversation may have caused, I apologize," Jackson said in a statement.

Jackson said he couldn't recall everything he'd said in the studio but couched the remarks as part of a discussion about Obama speaking to black churchgoers.

In such settings, Obama has urged greater emphasis on fatherhood, advised parents to choose reading books over playing video games and most recently told young students to stick with school and forget about a career as a rap star or professional basketball player.

Jackson said that in doing so Obama was hurting his relationship with black voters, "that the senator was cutting off his you-know-whats with the black people and black churches."

Jackson told CNN that he called the Obama campaign to apologize and reiterated his support for the campaign of the first black nominee of a major party.

"My support for Senator Obama's campaign is wide, deep and unequivocal," he said in his statement. "I cherish this redemptive and historical moment."

Obama had no comment.

Internet flaw could let hackers take over the Web

Took them long enough to find this out. What a loophole!

Internet flaw could let hackers take over the Web
Associated Press
Posted online: San Francisco, July 9: IST

Wednesday, July 09, 2008 at 0805 hrs Computer industry heavyweights are hustling to fix a flaw in the foundation of the Internet that would let hackers control traffic on the World Wide Web.

Major software and hardware makers worked in secret for months to create a software "patch" released yesterday to repair the problem, which is in the way computers are routed to web page addresses.

"It's a very fundamental issue with how the entire addressing scheme of the Internet works," Securosis analyst Rich Mogul said in a media conference call.

"You'd have the Internet, but it wouldn't be the Internet you expect. (Hackers) would control everything."

The flaw would be a boon for "phishing" cons that involve leading people to imitation web pages of businesses such as bank or credit card companies to trick them into disclosing account numbers, passwords and other information.

Attackers could use the vulnerability to route Internet users wherever they wanted no matter what website address is typed into a web browser.

Security researcher Dan Kaminsky of IOActive stumbled upon the Domain Name System (DNS) vulnerability about six months ago and reached out to industry giants including Microsoft, Sun and Cisco to collaborate on a solution.

DNS is used by every computer that links to the Internet and works similar to a telephone system routing calls to proper numbers, in this case the online numerical addresses of websites.

"People should be concerned but they should not be panicking," Kaminsky said.

Kaminsky built a web page, www.doxpara.com, where people can find out whether their computers have the DNS vulnerability.

Great Tips to Improve Your Gas Mileage & Save Gas

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Drive within the speed limit. Gas mileage decreases rapidly at speeds above 60 mph. According to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), each 5 mph you drive over 60 mph reduces your fuel economy by 7% and is like paying and additional $0.20 per gallon of gas.

- Stop aggressive driving. Speeding, rapid acceleration and hard braking waste gas. It can lower your gas mileage by 33% on the highway and by 5% in the city. You can improve your gas mileage by anticipating traffic conditions and driving smoothly. Around town, accelerate slowly after every stop sign and stop light. On the highway, go easy on the accelerator and try to maintain a constant speed.

- Warm up your car by driving it, not idling. Once your vehicle is running, the best way to warm it up is to drive it. With modern, computer-controlled engines you only need to warm it up for 30 seconds before driving away. Any more simply wastes fuel and increases emissions. Just make sure to drive it gently for the first few minutes until the car reaches its peak operating temperature.

- Avoid stop and go traffic by using alternative routes or traveling during less congested times.

- Don't try to increase your speed when you're climbing up a hill. This will cause your gas mileage to drop drastically. Just maintain a nice constant speed.

- Use overdrive and cruise control when appropriate. Overdrive saves gas and reduces engine wear by reducing the engine’s speed. Cruise control maintains a constant driving speed and also helps to save gas.

- Avoid idling whenever possible. It wastes fuel, costs you money, and pollutes the air. Idling for longer than 30 seconds uses more fuel than starting up your engine. If you have to wait longer than a minute, shut the engine off.

- Combine errands. Several short trips taken from a cold start can use twice as much fuel as one trip covering the same distance when the engine is warm.

- If possible, take advantage of carpooling and ride-sharing programs. This can help cut your fuel costs in half and reduce wear and tear on your vehicle.

- Fill up your car in the morning when it's cooler and the gasoline at the station is denser. Since gas pumps measure volumes of gas and not densities, you'll get more fuel for your money.

- Use the fuel octane level recommended by your vehicle's manufacturer. Most vehicles on the road use regular gas. Typically, using a higher octane gas offers no benefits. Unless your engine is knocking, buying higher octane gasoline is a waste of money.

- Tighten your gas cap. According to the Car Care Council, each year 147 million gallons of gas evaporates into the air due to loose, missing or damaged gas caps. So make sure to tighten your gas cap after filling up your tank and replace any missing or damaged caps.

- Check your tire pressure regularly (at least once a month). You can improve your gas mileage by around 3% by keeping your tires properly inflated. In addition, properly inflated tires are safer and last longer.

- Keep your engine tuned. Keeping your engine tuned according to the owner’s manual can help increase your gas mileage by an average of 4% percent depending on the condition of the vehicle.

- One of the easiest ways to increase your gas mileage is to check and replace air filters regularly. When the air filter becomes clogged, the engine has to work harder and your gas mileage drops. Replacing a clogged air filter can improve your gas mileage by as much as 10%.

- Use the type of motor oil recommended by your car's manufacturer. Using the wrong oil can reduce your gas mileage by up to 2%. Also, look for oil that says “Energy Conserving” on the label. This type of oil contains friction-reducing additives that can improve fuel economy.

- If you live in an area with freezing winter temperatures, using an engine block heater during the winter can improve fuel mileage by up to 10%. Use an automatic timer to turn on the block heater two hours before you plan to start your vehicle.

- Remove excess weight from the trunk or cab. An extra 100 pounds can reduce your fuel economy by about 2%.

- Avoid packing items on top of your car. A loaded roof rack or carrier crate creates wind resistance that can reduce your fuel economy by up to 5%.

- Make sure that your oxygen sensor (O2 sensor) is working properly. Many vehicles have a light that comes on when the O2 sensor needs servicing or replacement. A faulty O2 sensor can dramatically reduce your gas mileage. If your fuel economy suddenly drops, this may be the reason.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How do I measure my fuel economy?

One of the most important things to remember when measuring your fuel economy is to completely fill your tank each time you go to the gas station. Partial fill-ups will produce inaccurate results. We recommend that you fill your gas tank until the first click of the pump and stop. Then continue filling up until you get three more clicks and stop. This will ensure that the amount of fuel is fairly constant on each fill-up.

When finished, write down the date and how many miles you have on your odometer. There is no need to record how many gallons you purchased on your first fill-up. Drive your vehicle until you have about a quarter tank left and do your second fill-up. Follow the same procedure as the first time and record the date and odometer reading, but this time record the number of gallons required to fill the tank. Now you are ready to calculate your fuel economy.

Simply take the second odometer reading, subtract the first odometer reading and divide the result by the number of gallons. For example:

1st reading = 10,000 miles

2nd reading = 10,336 miles

Number of gallons = 16

Fuel economy = (10,336 – 10,000) /16 = 21.0 mpg
Continue this procedure for a few weeks to determine your average MPG.

lsgbrisk.com says 10% on gas can be saved. I will see because I am buying these plugs for my car. I figure it will take me about 3 months to get my money back in savings.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR LSG HALO SPARK PLUGS

Note: If the "Check Engine" light is on, then the problem must be fixed before the LSG Halo Plugs are fitted.

Stage 1
Before installation make sure you have the correct type of spark plugs for the engine being serviced.

Stage 2
Disconnect both battery wires. This will reset the Engine Control Unit (ECU) and adjust the spark ignition timing to match that of the Halo Spark Plug. If you have an older vehicle that does not have an ECU, then the ignition timing needs to be manually adjusted by a trained technician.
Note: Do not work on hot or warm engines as this can cause damage.

Stage 3
Identify the spark plug cables to insure the cables are reconnected correctly as covered in Stage 11.

Stage 4
Carefully remove the spark plug cables. Check the cables for damage and replace if necessary.

Stage 5
Remove the spark plugs using the correct tools.

Stage 6
If the plugs require an external gasket (not applicable for taper seat spark plugs), check that there are no gasket’s remaining on the cylinder head from the removed plugs.

Stage 7
Put a little bit of anti-seize compound on the front two threads of the new plugs before installation.
Note: Anti-seize is needed on aluminum heads to prevent electrolytic action between the steel spark plug body and aluminum head. Do not use too much anti-seize.

Stage 8
Install each plug until finger tight.
Note: Spark plugs that are not tight will run hot and can cause serious engine damage. If you cannot seat the spark plug all the way with your fingers, there is probably carbon in the threaded hole in the cylinder head. Chase the threads with a thread chaser before installing the spark plug. When removing plugs, examine the seat area closely for evidence that the plug was seated all the way in its previous installation. On plugs with gaskets, the gasket should be compressed. With tapered spark plugs, the seat area of the plug should show a “witness mark” (proving that it was seated). Spark plugs that fail because they were loose can have a blown out center electrode or insulator, or the outer shell can be blue.

Stage 9
Tighten the spark plugs to the recommended torque for the plugs and engine, by using a torque-wrench and sockets that correctly fit the hexagon of the spark plug metal shell. Table 1 below shows the correct torque settings.

Table 1. Torque Settings

Note: Do not remove or install plugs by gripping the insulator with any tool as this will damage the plug.

Stage 10
Apply dielectric grease to each electrode tip before reconnecting the spark plug cables.
Note: This operation will provide a good seal between the plug cable and the electrode tip.

Stage 11
Reconnect the spark plug cables to the correct plugs as marked during Stage 3.

Stage 12
Reconnect the battery cables.

What Really Saves Gas? And How Much?

With gas prices so high, the media is awash with lists of gas-saving tips. Well how's this for a tip? If you listen to us, you can see hybrid-type savings without having to buy a new car.

By changing your driving habits you can improve fuel economy up to 37 percent right away (depending on how you drive). Combine several tips and perform routine maintenance and you will save real dollars, not just pennies.

A miracle? All we did was take several of the most common tips out there and put them to the test over a remote 55-mile route in the high desert of California. Some of them worked like a charm. Some of them didn't work at all. We'll give you the breakdown.

These tests were done under real-world conditions — not in a government lab somewhere. Our results can be matched by anyone — even you.

The wonderful part about what we found is that improving your car's mileage is just a matter of changing your habits. Stack a few of these winners together and we'll bet that you'll see a substantial savings at the pump — without the need for a new car.

Test #1 Aggressive Driving vs. Moderate Driving

Result: Major savings potential

The Cold Hard Facts: Up to 37 percent savings, average savings of 31 percent

Recommendation: Stop driving like a maniac.

Aggressive vs. Moderate Driving: read the entire test

Test #2 Lower Speeds Saves Gas

Result: Substantial savings on a long trip

Cold Hard Facts: Up to 14 percent savings, average savings of 12 percent

Recommendation: Drive the speed limit.

Lower Speeds Saves Gas: Read the entire test

Test #3 Use Cruise Control

Result: Surprisingly effective way to save gas

Cold Hard Facts: Up to 14-percent savings, average savings of 7 percent

Recommendation: If you've got it, use it.

Cruise Control: Read the entire test

Test #4 A/C On, Windows Up vs. A/C Off, Windows Down

Result: Nice in theory; not true in practice

Cold Hard Facts: No measurable difference (unless you open the sunroof, too!)

Recommendation: Please, make yourself comfortable.

Air Conditioner: Read the entire test

Test #5 Check Your Tire Pressure

Result: Important for safety and to reduce tire wear

Cold Hard Facts: No measurable effect on the vehicles we tested

Recommendation: Check your tire pressure often but don't expect a big savings.

Tire pressure: Read the entire test

Test #6 Avoid Excessive Idling

Result: More important than we assumed

Cold Hard Facts: Avoiding excessive idling can save up to 19 percent

Recommendation: Stopping longer than a minute? Shut 'er down.

Excessive idling: Read the entire test

The Tests

Our results are based on two separate fuel testing sessions. On each occasion we took two cars from the Edmunds.com long-term fleet and drove on a 56-mile test loop. Our route circled Owens Lake near Lone Pine, California, at the foot of Mount Whitney, the tallest mountain in the lower 48 states. We chose the route because it was so deserted we could vary our speed and driving style without interfering with the flow of traffic. The only other cars we saw on the route were a caravan of test vehicles from Mercedes-Benz. We drove the loops back-to-back to ensure that we were comparing similar wind and temperatures. We logged our results and later put them on a spreadsheet where the results were averaged.

Test #1: Aggressive vs. Moderate Driving

This is gonna hurt. Our tests showed that the most significant way to save gas is: you. And we're talking massive fuel economy gains. Think you need a hybrid? Chances are you've got hybrid-style mileage in your gas pedal foot. Don't mash the gas when you start up. Take the long view of the road and brake easy. This tip alone can save you unbelievable amounts of gas. If you slowed your 0-to-60-mph acceleration time down from your current 10 seconds to a more normal city pace of 15 seconds, you'll feel the savings immediately.

Method: We conducted this test four times. The first time we did the full 55-mile loop once by accelerating aggressively 15 times at 3/4-throttle from zero to a cruising speed of 75 mph. We also applied the brakes hard to come to a full stop. Then, we drove the second loop by accelerating moderately 15 times at 1/4-throttle to a cruising speed of 70 mph. We braked lightly to a full stop. In the second set of tests we drove 25 miles making 25 rapid accelerations to 65 mph at 3/4-throttle. After 1 minute of cruising we braked hard and repeated the cycle up to 65 mph. We then drove the same distance making 25 moderation accelerations to 60 mph at 1/4-throttle. After 1 minute of cruising we applied the brakes easily and came to a full stop.

Test #2 Lower Speeds Saves Gas

Remember a thing called the speed limit? On most highways it is either 65 or 70 mph. How fast are the cars and trucks around you going? From 75 mph to 90 mph. These people are wasting a lot of gas for the chance to get there a little earlier. Factor in safety concerns and a speeding ticket once or twice a year and going fast is a costly proposition.

Method: This test was simple. For 50 miles we drove with the cruise control set at 65 mph. Then, for another 50-mile stretch we drove with cruise set at 75 mph. We repeated this test going in the opposite direction. It is amazing how obvious the difference in gas mileage was. Just think what would have happened if we had slowed down to 60 mph. The only problem is with impatient drivers behind you. One driver became so irate that he tried to run our editor off the road. Still, if you are pinched by gas prices. Leave a little early and drive the speed limit (in the slow lane).

Test #3 Use Cruise Control

Using cruise control is a bit of gas-saving advice frequently on tips lists. We have always agreed with this tip in theory but we hadn't expected such significant results. First, it smoothes out the driver's accelerator input by preventing nervous "surging." Second, it makes the driver take the long view of the road rather than reacting to every change in the traffic around them.

Method: We did this test twice with four different cars each time driving the 55-mile loop. The first time we set cruise control to 70 mph. The second time, with the cruise control off, we varied our speed between 65 mph and 75 mph. We tried to mimic the driving style of a person who is in moderate freeway traffic.

One thing that's important to note: if you are in a mountainous area you should turn off cruise. It will try to keep you up to the speed you've set and will use a lot of extra gas downshifting to lower gears to accomplish this.

Test #4 A/C On, Windows Up vs. A/C Off, Windows Down

This has got to take you back to the days with the family on vacation. Dad says, "Turn the A/C off! It wastes gas!" And Mom says, "We can't roll the windows down or everyone on the highway will think we can't afford A/C." And you're in the back roasting, hoping someone will win the argument so you can cool off.

Well, family psychology aside, if dads are still saying this, they aren't necessarily right. While the A/C compressor does pull power from the engine wasting some gas, the effect appears to be fairly minimal in modern cars. And putting the windows down tends to increase drag on most cars, canceling out any measurable gain from turning the A/C off. But this one depends on the model you're driving. When we opened the sunroof in our SUV, the mileage did decrease even with the A/C off. Still, in our experience, it's not worth the argument because you won't save a lot of gas either way. So just do what's comfortable.

Method: We drove the full 55 mile-loop in two cars at equal speeds both times — 65 mph. The first loop we drove with the A/C on and the windows up. The second loop we drove with the A/C off and windows down. In the second test we drove 20-mile loops. This was far enough to see our gas mileage level off and remain steady on the computer trip meter.

Test #5: Check Your Tire Pressure

No matter how many times drivers hear about the importance of tire pressure, most of them don't do anything about it. They probably don't like squatting beside their car in a busy gas station with fumes swirling around them. But is it important? The answer is yes, for a number of reasons. Properly inflated tires are less likely to fail at high speeds. They wear more evenly and, yes, they deliver better gas mileage. How much? In this test we saw a modest difference in two of the cars. It might have been more dramatic with different tires on different cars. Experts swear by it; we couldn't really document it. And we wound up wondering if tire technology, like the design in other areas of the car, had improved.

Eventually, we concluded that each set of tires is different and every vehicle is different. We recommend that you do your own tests to see what inflation setting gives you the best fuel economy.

Method: We drove the 55-mile test loop four times at 60 mph — twice with tires at or above proper inflation. Once, we did the test with the tires 5 psi below the pressure recommended by the manufacturer. Since this produced very little difference we enlarged the gap and under inflated the tires by 8 psi. We felt that it was important to make sure the tires were inflated to the recommended level or above.

Test #6 Avoid Excessive Idling

If you turn off a light bulb as you leave the room you'll save electricity. If you turn off your car you will save gas. Obviously. But related questions are more difficult to answer. If you're only stopping for only a minute, is it better to shut off the engine or keep it idling? Should I shut off the engine in traffic? How much gas will this save? What rule of thumb do I use when trying to save gas this way?

Method: We took two cars and drove a 10-mile route stopping 10 times for two minutes. We shut down the car each time. Then we drove the same route at the same speed and let the car idle for two minutes.

Conclusions

The good news is that you can drastically improve your gas mileage. The caveat is that you have to change your driving habits. If you are willing to change, you'll find many related benefits too: no speeding tickets, greater safety, reduced stress and lower repair bills for tires and brake pads. In the long run this will save you money. And who knows? You might like the new you.

Vets For Freedom Letter to General Wesley Clark

On behalf of Vets for Freedom—and thousands of veterans and troops still serving—we suggest you apologize to Sen. McCain for your comments. We also advise you apologize to generations of veterans who served country—in wartime and peacetime. We will be watching to see if the professionalism you showed once while in uniform will finally shine through in your new-found political role. (Don't be fooled this idiot speaks for the idiot running for president Sen Obama)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear General Clark,

Yesterday you appeared on CBS “Face the Nation” and made strong statements regarding Senator John McCain and his
military service. Amongst other things, you claimed Sen. McCain “hasn’t held executive responsibility” and you
criticized him because he didn’t command a “wartime [Navy] Squadron.”
You then claimed, in reference to war, that Sen. McCain “hasn’t been there and ordered the bombs to fall” and
concluded your political hatchet job with “I don’t think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification
to be President.” Even the show’s host, Bob Schieffer, let out a puzzled “really?” at the conclusion of your assertions.
Frankly General, you should know better. As a previous Commander of U.S. troops in harm’s way, you should take
serious pause in disparaging the service record of a fellow decorated veteran. Even worse, your arrogant and careless
words undercut the credibility of all those who served and continue to serve, in wartime and peacetime.
First of all, Sen. McCain’s service record is clear. After volunteering for a combat assignment in Vietnam, Sen. McCain
was shot down during his twenty-third bombing mission over North Vietnam and spent 5 ½ years as a Prisoner of War,
enduring physical torture and repeatedly turning down preferential treatment and early release. For his service, he
received seventeen decorations, including the Silver Star and Legion of Merit.
Most Americans would have ended their military career there, but Sen. McCain continued his service and eventually
become the commanding officer of the largest squadron in the U.S. Navy. He turned an undisciplined and untrained
squadron into one of the Navy’s best, earning the unit a Meritorious Unit Commendation.
So, let’s review your statements and check them against reality:
Senator McCain “hasn’t held executive responsibility.”
FACT: McCain commanded, and revitalized, the largest squadron in the U.S. Navy.
Senator McCain’s military leadership doesn’t count, because it wasn’t a “wartime Squadron.”
FACT: McCain volunteered to serve in Vietnam and upon his return, endured months of physical rehabilitation in order
to continue his military career and command a squadron.
Senator McCain “hasn’t been there [war] and ordered the bombs to fall”
FACT: McCain flew twenty-three combat missions in Vietnam in order to drop bombs on the enemy. He was also
“there” for 5 ½ years as a Prisoner of War.
“I don’t think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be President.”
FACT: If serving your country, volunteering for combat, resisting the enemy, and receiving seventeen decorations for
service does count for anything, then why are you on television, speaking as an “expert” on national security matters?
Your personal attacks came not from a General with respect for the uniform, but from a political operative dispatched to
attack the military background of a political adversary.
On behalf of Vets for Freedom—and thousands of veterans and troops still serving—we urge you to apologize to Sen.
McCain for your comments. We also urge you to apologize to generations of veterans who served our country in
uniform. Service matters—anytime, anywhere. We await and appreciate your response.
Even the candidate you represent has said repeatedly that “[Sen. McCain] deserves admiration for his service to our
country.” We will be watching to see if the professionalism you showed once while in uniform will finally shine through
in your new-found political role.

Michelle Obama is a racial divider

Mr Obama speaks about all of us comming together, a lot of fluff. Ms Obama speaks of herself as a "visitor on campus" as she attended princton. In other words whites made her feel like an outcast. Here we have a woman who blames whites for her racial
prejudice towards whites. Her and Mr Obama make a perfect racist couple. Both were taught by the "rev Wright" to hate whites.

Here is her thesis at Princeton Univ. A bitter anti-white thesis his wife wrote as a college undergraduate.

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my 'blackness' than ever before," the future Mrs. Obama wrote in her thesis introduction. "I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don't belong. Regardless of the circumstances underwhich I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second."

The thesis, titled "Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community" and written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, in 1985, has been the subject of much conjecture on the blogosphere and elsewhere in recent weeks, as it has been "temporarily withdrawn" from Princeton's library until after this year's presidential election in November. Some of the material has been written about previously, however, including a story last year in the Newark Star Ledger.

Obama writes that the path she chose by attending Princeton would likely lead to her "further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country,” she told a Milwaukee crowd today, “because it feels like hope is making a comeback.”

Only her husband’s run for president has made her proud of America? That’s…extremely narcissistic and self-centered.

Nothing America has done in Michelle Obama’s adult life, which at 44 goes back 26 years to 1982, has made her proud of her country? Nothing? Not winning the Cold War? Not our regular and orderly transitions of power based on the rule of law? Not the fact that we feed and defend the world, not that we lead in science and technology research, not that we elected the first black president in 1992…nothing? Not the fact that she and her husband were able to go to Ivy League schools before embarking on extremely lucrative careers? Not the fact that we help out in disasters wherever they strike in the world? Nothing has made Michelle Obama proud of her country in her entire adult life?

I certainly don’t want such a vain pessimist racist as First Lady nor a racist moron,ie empty suit, like Obama to be president.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Kid has more sense than Obama or Ms Obama any day.

Why aren't you an Obama fan?

A teacher in Elmira, New York asked her 6th grade class how many of them were Obama fans. Not really knowing what an Obama fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raised their hands except for Little Johnny.
The teacher asked Little Johnny why he has decided to be different...again.
Little Johnny said, 'Because I'm not an Obama fan.'
The teacher asked, 'Why aren't you an Obama fan?'
Johnny said, 'Because I'm a Republican.'
The teacher asked him why he's a Republican.
Little Johnny answered, 'Well, my Mom's a Republican and my Dad's a Republican, so I'm a Republican.'
Annoyed by this answer, the teacher asked, 'If your mom was a moron and your dad was an idiot, what would that make you?'
With a big smile, Little Johnny replied, 'That would make me an Obama fan.'

Tim Russert - Democrat Shill

Russert passes for a “tough” interviewer by adopting a confrontational pose rather than asking genuinely challenging questions. As much as any politician, Russert has constructed a persona for the benefit of the public, an identity meant to give him the authority that his actual work might not. Like most well-designed personas, it has a basis in truth but has been polished and honed to a fine sheen.

Tim Russert - Democrat Shill

Tim Russert, Democrat Shill

We realize Tim Russert only got his job at NBC because of Russert’s then boss Senator Patrick Moynihan’s friendship with the then head of NBC News. But Russert regularly goes beyond the call of duty to his DNC overlords.

Behold this lead into a question for GOP head, Ken Mehlman on today’s (November 13th) installment of Meet The Press:

MR. RUSSERT: "On solid intelligence." And then 15 months later, the secretary of state came on this program and said this.

SEC’Y POWELL: But it turned out that the sourcing was inaccurate and wrong, and in some cases, deliberately misleading. And for that, I am disappointed, and I regret it.

MR. RUSSERT: "Deliberately misleading." That’s the secretary of state. So why can’t Democrats now say that the administration deliberately misled the American people?

Because, Mr. Russert, you are a liar.

The actual context of Powell’s remarks from the cited May 16, 2004 Meet The Press broadcast gives his words an entirely different meaning:

RUSSERT: Thank you very much, sir. In February of 2003, you put your enormous personal reputation on the line before the United Nations and said that you had solid sources for the case against Saddam Hussein. It now appears that an agent called Curveball had misled the CIA by suggesting that Saddam had trucks and trains that were delivering biological and chemical weapons. How concerned are you that some of the information you shared with the world is now inaccurate and discredited?

POWELL: I’m very concerned. When I made that presentation in February 2003, it was based on the best information that the Central Intelligence Agency made available to me. We studied it carefully; we looked at the sourcing in the case of the mobile trucks and trains. There was multiple sourcing for that. Unfortunately, that multiple sourcing over time has turned out to be not accurate. And so I’m deeply disappointed. But I’m also comfortable that at the time that I made the presentation, it reflected the collective judgment, the sound judgment of the intelligence community. But it turned out that the sourcing was inaccurate and wrong and in some cases, deliberately misleading. And for that, I am disappointed and I regret it.

It is clear that in his May 16th remarks Powell was referring to the CIA asset called "Curveball," who had been deliberately misleading. — Not the administration.

In fact in his original answer Powell insisted the administration honestly believed the information the CIA had made available to them and had acted in good faith. But Russert edited Powell’s response to make it sound exactly the opposite.

Doing so, Tim Russert has once again exposed himself to the world as the Democrat hack that he is. Of course this is not news to anyone who has ever watched him.

The Pardon of Scooter Libby
Lets not forget the Scooter Libby case and what MR Russert told the FBI.

This is crucial. For the record, I note two items. First, I note the FBI report of its original interview with Mr. Russert. To quote from that report, Mr. Russert told the FBI that "he could not completely rule out the possibility that he had such an exchange [as described by Mr. Libby]. Russert acknowledged that he speaks to many people on a daily basis and it is difficult to reconstruct some specific conversations, particularly ones which occurred several months ago."

Note that on the stand in the Scooter Libby trial, Mr Russert was able to reconstruct specific conversations he had with Scooter Libby after initially telling the FBI the opposite. [It seems he Mr Russert lied about Scooter Libby] The facts are obvious.

In the "Today" interview, Russert reiterated what he had said on the stand: he did not discuss the wife of former Ambassador Joseph Wilson with Libby in a conversation they had in July 2003 and he said he did not at that time know about Valerie Plame, Wilson's wife, who was outed subsequently as a CIA operative.

"I did not know she worked at the CIA. I did not know any of that until the following Monday when I saw all in (newspaper columnist) Robert Novak's column. ... We simply did not know it. I wish we had."

Russert did say he was "stunned" when he heard that Libby said he had learned Plame's identity from him, saying, "I said that just can't be. It's impossible." Russert held to that line during cross-examination. He also disclosed -- in a well-publicized statement -- that he considered his chats with sources all off-the-record unless put on the record, the opposite of the usual journalistic approach.

I then quote from the instructions provided by the judge to the jury: "A person who makes a statement based on a belief or opinion which he honestly held when the statement was made has not violated the statutes the defendant is charged with violating in this case merely because the statement turns out to be inaccurate, incorrect, or wrong. Making an honest statement that turns out to be inaccurate, incorrect or wrong because of mistake, confusion, or faulty memory, or even carelessness in one's recollection, does not rise to the level of criminal conduct."

I will only remember Mr Russert as a person who twisted the truth and one who interviwed by adopting a confrontational pose rather than asking genuinely challenging questions. Just another barking dog for the liberals promoting himself and them.

My condolesas to the family.

How To Lobby Your Members Of Congress

A Revolving Door

You've heard it before—it's not what you know, it's who you know. In our nation's capital, success comes with a combination of knowledge and personal connections.
Lobbyists make big bucks to lobby members of Congress and government officials on the issues their clients care about. But the money that industries, companies, unions and issue groups spend on lobbying is often just a drop in the bucket compared to what they can reap in return if their lobbyists are successful.

With this in mind you can see how important it is that the American citizen lobby congress. If we make our thoughts known to the elected they can be influenced more than the hired guns of corporations and special interests. If we don't lobby congress
they will. The results are evident. The green waco environmentalists have made congress cave into not drilling for oil and driving corn prices through the roof because of ethanol. We the people have not been lobbying congress but let corporations and the wacos take over. Just voting isn't enough. Granted some crazed liberals will not listen to anyone but the big money. Currenly the wacos are in control.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How To Lobby Your Members Of Congress:

Members of Congress rarely hear from their constituents on
most issues. Sometimes hearing from a handful of concerned citizens
will cause a Senator or Representative to pay attention to a
particular issue and encourage him or her to vote the right way.

In general the more personal your lobbying contact is, the
more effective it will be. While a personal discussion with a
Member of Congress is most effective, a meeting or telephone
conversation with one of his or her assistants is almost as good.
A personal letter is much more effective than a form letter or
postcard.

You do not need to be an expert on the issue to call or write
your Member of Congress' office. All you need to communicate is
that you want the Member to support or oppose a particular measure.
When you call a Member's office give your name and address and ask
whomever takes your call to let the Member of Congress know that
you favor or oppose something.

It is very important that you lobby both Members of Congress
who may support your views and those who may not. Lobbying can
change votes so it is critically important that you lobby those who
disagree with you. Lobbying supporters provides them with evidence
of support for their position and allows them to be more active in
support of that position.

If you don't know your Members of Congress, your county
courthouse voter registration office can give you their names and
addresses. You can contact Members of Congress in either their
local offices or in Washington. In Washington write or call:

Fuel Conservation No Idle Matter at UPS

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An idea that works for UPS. I mapped my new route to work with right turns only. It
would take 15 minutes longer. Maybe this could also work for the USPS? Lets make intersections with only right turns. This would go along with "global warming" and other green crazy stuff. Just think, we would turn right, then turn right, then turn right eventually we would get where we were going but only after going many miles out of the way. It all makes sense doesn't it? An idea for obama and mccain to ponder and pontificate about.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fuel Conservation No Idle Matter at UPS

You wouldn't think of something as benign as avoiding a left-hand turn could conserve fuel, but Atlanta-based United Parcel Service (UPS) swears by it. In fact, the parcel carrier has technology in its systems that help map this out routes that minimize the number of left turns the driver has to make. According to spokesperson Steve Holmes, avoiding left turns at intersections reduces idling which in turn lowers fuel consumption. "It seems small, but when you multiply it across 88,0000 vehicles making nearly 15 million deliveries every day during the course of a year, it adds up."

And at stop lights, making a right turn at an intersection tends to be faster than at a left turn, since you have only to wait for an opportunity to turn in one lane of traffic. You also have the option of "right on red" in most jurisdictions, unless otherwise indicated by traffic signs. "So even if you didn't save fuel, you're going to move more quickly through a route."

"Because 98% of our packages are processed electronically by shippers, we know what's entering our system each day, what's still in our system each day, when each package is going to arrive at a center, when the package is scheduled for delivery -- including time of day -- and where it will be delivered," Holmes says.

What's more, Holmes says, UPS drivers are trained to always turn off their package cars when they stop for a delivery, never idling at the curb or in a driveway. "Even if the driver is out of the truck for a few seconds, the vehicle is always turned off."

Black..White Guilt is Obama's Forte

Black America's central conflict: Booker T. Washington vs. Dr. W.E.B. DuBois.

Every Black American is either Washington or Dr. DuBois. He either aspires to self-reliance, or feeds off false white guilt. He either proactively affirms himself, or he perpetually reacts against his imagined white master. If Washington's disciples must show restraint, lest self-reliance corrupt into pride, then Dr. DuBois's followers are consumed by the deadly sin of envy.

Washington's philosophy of self-reliance and Dr. DuBois' sophisticated resentment are contradictions, not contraries. One is true and the other is false. For the modes of existence available to Black America -- self-help or protest -- are not mutually inclusive, like yin or yang. Black existential choice comes down to Washington or Dr. DuBois. Lately, that dilemma has manifested itself in the "twins" Sen. Obama and Rev. Wright.

By founding Tuskegee Normal & Industrial Institute in 1881, Booker T. Washington established the prototype for modern Black civilization. His school encouraged enterprise and industry. Washington founded the National Negro Business League, in 1900, to comprehend the socio-economic organization that had Tuskegee for its base of operations. He understood that property rights, to wit "life, liberty and property," are the soul of citizenship; that protection of property is the US government's basic purpose. He designed his educational system and economic policy to build a nation within a nation of property-owners.

Dr. DuBois's The Souls of Black Folk (1903) dismissed Washington's emphasis on property rights as a sellout. He libeled the Black capitalist as an "Uncle Tom." Capital formation drove Washington's "Tuskegee machine," but Dr. DuBois discarded it in favor of protest. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, founded by white liberals in 1909, and has presided over the civil rights movement ever since. Dr. DuBois's followers, the Black bourgeoisie vanguard, the so-called "Talented Tenth," do resent their liberal white masters. But they most passionately hate the Black who would master the universe. They exemplify the crabs that Washington once described, jealously combining to pull back into the barrel the one crab that would climb out.

But climb out Washington did. He picked up where the great freedom fighter, Frederick Douglass, had left off. Douglass, a former slave, had demanded "equality." Washington commanded "equity." Douglass had justly fought for "freedom and equality." Washington encouraged responsible citizenship via acquiring property. He taught self-help and self-reliance. He instilled discipline.

Sen. Obama's politics evoke none of those values. It therefore comes as no surprise that Sen. Obama is trying to pull blacks back into the crab-barrel, just as Dr. DuBois had tried to pull Washington a hundred years ago.

What is this crab-barrel today? It is the slave mentality that resents the white man and envies the Black upstart. It is the netherworld wherein the Talented Tenth, for their role as middleman between white mastery and Black unrest, earn honorary white status and token privileges. It is where the Talented Tenth feed as parasites off white guilt. It is the limbo between white bourgeois heaven and Black proletarian hell.

White guilt is the crab-barrel's necessary condition. Thus do the Talented Tenth's civil rights activists eagerly await proofs of white guilt, such as last Fall's "Jena Six" case and the recent police shooting death of Sean Bell. Thus do the Talented Tenth's pseudo-militants use conspiracy theories to allege white guilt, for example Rev. Wright's claim that the US government invented AIDS to destroy the Black race. Thus does Rev. Wright's resentment of white guilt, masquerading as "Black liberation theology," perpetrate slave religion. For resentment defines the slave mentality.

But Sen. Obama, like Dr Dubois before him, embodies resentment as apposed to self help. He denies responsibility as Black uplift's necessary condition. His presidential ambition denies Black identity. He has no record of accomplishments that can point to any permanent change for the better as relates to blacks in Chicago.

Sen. Obama or Rev. Wright? Black America must choose but in choosing they are picking one an the same. Both are just alike. Twenty years listening to the rev wright's rants means Sen Obama must be cut from the same cloth. These twins were not seperated at birth. Radicals who are just the same. A vote for Sen Obama is just pulling the crab back in the barrel. When I speak of white guilt it also pertains to the white guilt some whites feel toward blacks and are supporting Obama because of this. Obama wants you to continue to be a victim. Until you realize this and don't support him nothing will change. Obama is a king crab.

KIRKLAND, Wash. -- It will take thousands of dollars and several surgeries to reconstruct a local man's face.

James O'Neal compares himself to the Elephant Man. A genetic disease left his face horribly disfigured, but that could soon change.

O'Neal knows his deformity shocks people. He knows others with the same genetic disorder would rather hide than work, but for 7 years James has proudly worked the registers at the Kingsgate Safeway on 124th Avenue NE in Kirkland.

"I just tell people this is who I am, it's the way I am. If you don't like me, you don't like me," he said.

His customers don't like him -- they love him.

"He is an amazing man and we love him. He's the kind of person that makes your day," said customer Aubrey Richins.

"I really love James," said shopper Katie Knopf.

All of them say they were stunned at first when they saw his disfigured face.

"I have to admit I was a little taken back, but when I walked through his line I felt this spirit come over me, this man is out here, not hiding," said long-time customer Cindy Peay.

Every shopper said the same thing: O'Neal is an inspiration. If that wasn't enough, he's lightning-fast on the register.

Knopf has put her money where her mouth is.

"We want to change his life," she said.

She knows O'Neal's insurance likely won't cover all of the costs of difficult and extensive surgeries. So she's launched a Web site asking for donations for reconstructive surgery.

Knopf also got Kinkos to donate a thousand fliers and plans to distribute them to local schools and the registers at the Kingsgate Safeway.

Her generous heart tugged on Safeway's heartstrings. The grocer decided to kick in the first $10,000.

"James is our employee, he is one of us and we absolutely think the world of him," said Cherie Myers, Safeway's director of public and government affairs. "This is just a bonus, this our bonus to him. He never asked for it, he's never said 'woe is me.' He's proud to be who he is."

That's why customers flock to him. Knopf says she'll stand in line just to have him ring her up.

"James will always be the person he is inside. I'm hoping with this he'll have a new lease on life," said Knopf. She hopes to raise $50,000, but guesses the costs could add up to be much more.

"It makes me feel honored and proud," said O'Neal, who was stunned to learn his employer is not only kicking in $10,000, but is committed to helping him navigate through all the insurance paperwork.

O'Neal has lived with his disability since birth. Like the Elephant Man he has neurofibromatosis, not elephantiasis. The tumors stopped growing when he stopped growing. Surgery would rid him of the deformity for good.

"I think it's amazing what they want to do for me," he said. And it's clear they're doing it because of what O'Neal has done for them.

In July, Safeway stores in four states will kick off a three-week Canister Campaign, collecting donations to help O'Neal. Those who want to contribute can also donate online through KOMO News.

KOMO will continue to follow O'Neal's progress with updated reports.
