As reported in the Army Times in late September 2008, the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has been deployed to active duty on American soil for 12 months for what is expected will be a permanent mission to respond to the threat of terrorist attacks on American soil and control crowds of American citizens in the case of mass civil unrest.

The force was renamed Chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or high-yield explosive Consequence Management Response Force. Its acronym, CCMRF, is pronounced "sea-smurf," [1] and the unit is now under the the daily control of United States Northern Command's Army North, whose mission is to "protect the United States homeland and support local, state, and federal authorities." [2] It should be noted that the unit is a multi-branch force with Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors and Marines from the four branches of the Department of Defense.

Current Deployment on U.S. Soil

On October 4, 2008, public intellectual Naomi Wolf made a talk radio appearance to warn of the Global War on Terror combat deployment of the unit on U.S. soil, following the dissolution of the 1807 Insurrection Act and the 1877 Posse Comitatus Act which occurred with the passage of the Defense Authorization Act of 2007. Section 1076 of the 2007 Act is entitled, "Use of the Armed Forces in Major Public Emergencies." Section 333, "Major public emergencies; interference with State and Federal law" allows the President to deploy the armed forces to restore public order when the President determines that domestic insurrection has occurred to such an extent that the constituted authorities of a U.S. State or territory are incapable of, "refuse," or "fail" in maintaining public order, "in order to suppress, in any State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy."

This should make every American wake up to the real possibility of the Military being used against American citizens for "political purposes" because of the wording of Section 333," "The president determines", "authorities of a U.S. State "refuse, or fail", "in order to suppress", a, "conspiracy". What if the "conspiracy" was the lawful assembly of citizens demanding the impeachment and removal of the president of the U.S. or any other "conspiracy" the "president" deems domestic insurrection. This is carte blanche available to the "president" also for "political purposes" because of the word "conspiracy"
Any group of Americans opposed to Barack Hussein Obama could be considered a "conspiracy" only if Barack Hussein Obama deems it so. So I could be deemed a "conspiracy" for questioning the fact he has not produced a certificate of birth from Hawaii proving he is a natural born citizen. If I am researching and questioning his legal authority to be President he could say I or anyone was "conspiring" to remove him from office because I do not believe he is a natural born U.S. citizen.

Dissent equals treason

Cast dissent as "treason" and criticism as "espionage'or a "conspiracy". Every closing society does this, just as it elaborates laws that increasingly criminalise certain kinds of speech and expand the definition of "spy" and "traitor".

I don't agree with every thing Naomi Wolf says but she is making a lot of sense. Strange things have happened lately that have set Americans up for socialism. What she says about the bailout bill and the standing army as of Oct 1,2008 on American soil to "police" American citizens I believe is accurate.

Take time to read and listen I did. It seems very plausable. It is not a nut theory.
These 2 things have been set in motion by the congress. One under duress of marshall law if the bail out bill was not passed by congress, the other under the threat of "global terrorism". It would seem the "war on terror" could be comming to a neighborhood near us all soon. Yes I do agree congress was forced to pass a bogus "bail out bill" under the threat of marshall law having to be declared because of the "economic crisis". I have thought from the beginning it was a "manufactured crisis". Why is the Army in Fort Stewart, Georgia authorized by congress to deploy
when the President determines that domestic insurrection has occurred? The law says domestic insurrection...this is not domestic terrorism! Domestic insurrection would occur if the US Army starts arresting or killing US citizens because the President has determined it is necessary because of some "threat". This law has bypassed congress an given the president a free had at instituting socialism or fascism by decree!
