Reckless anger and character assassination for the sake of entertainment

"Reckless anger and character assassination for the sake of entertainment". WND Editor Joseph Farah

(This is what conservatives need to keep in mind when we listen to the tv, radio or any "entertainment" commentary. Ann coulter is what I would call a little off the wall. Many times she is correct in her commentary. Sometimes she opines just like the state run media. Sometimes Her words are half truths or uttered for the sake of shock and "entertainment".

She is but one of many who are properly called "talking heads". There is a difference between a "talking head" and a "thinking head". Coulter is an off the wall talking and thinking head, an odd combination.

Various versions of "conservative" commentators are on radio, tv and print media.

I have always considered Ann coulter "off the wall". You never can be sure what she will come up with. Sometimes its right on the money. Sometimes its all for show and "entertainment". Sometimes her commentary is totally incorect. I didn't say she lies. Barack obama and the democrates tell lies, all the time.)

WASHINGTON – Conservative pundit Ann Coulter intensified her attacks on WND last night on Fox News Channel's "Red Eye" show, accusing those at the largest independent news site who dropped her from the "Taking America Back National Conference" in Miami of being "fake Christians."

Coulter claimed she was never actually booked for the event, repeated her resentment over publishing her e-mail explanations to WND Editor Joseph Farah for appearing at GOProud's Homocon event and lashed out at WND for "pushing the birther thing," which she said is not supported by any conservatives.

"These are fake Christians trying to get publicity," said Coulter.

Previously, Coulter called Farah a "publicity whore" and a "swine" for WND's decision to drop her upon learning of her plan to speak to the homosexual Republican group.

In response, Farah issued the following statement: "Coulter called me a 'publicity whore' for my decision. But look who is on television talking about this – throwing mud, name-calling, smearing not only me but my entire staff. I will not engage in the kind of ad hominem attacks that have made Coulter so famous and that are making her even more of a media darling in this age of reckless anger and character assassination for the sake of entertainment. Every day, since we made this decision at WND, I thank God for giving me the clarity of mind and discernment to make the right choice."

As to Coulter's new accusation that she was never even booked for the conference, Farah had this to say: "Coulter agreed to speak. She was retained through her speakers bureau on the basis of a previous fee for an unfulfilled engagement. We promoted her appearance at the event for six months in a high-profile manner with no objections by Coulter. We were just about to pay the balance due on the remainder of the speaker's fee when this bombshell dropped about her keynoting the Homocon event in New York one week after our conference. If Coulter didn't consider herself booked, she had ample opportunity to tell me that during the last six months and during our e-mail conversations. Knowing how quick-witted she is, it would likely have been the first reaction she had, rather than one she had to think about for days. We haven't asked Coulter to refund the money we paid to her for a speech she will never deliver. But, if I were making the charge that I was never booked, I would be more than willing to refund the money I was paid by supposedly 'fake Christians,' 'swine' and 'publicity whores.'"

"He's pushing the birther thing," she said of Farah. "No one who is conservative believes in it either, someone who wants to get hits for his website may promote it."

In fact, most of America's top talk-show hosts have acknowledged on-air that Obama's constitutional eligibility is a valid issue, including Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Mark Levin, Lou Dobbs and many others – not to mention former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

(The "birther thing" is minimized by coulter. The "birther thing" is the question of obama's citizenship. If coulter is relying on the only document obama has provided as proof of his American ctizenship she is relying on a flawed document that cannot be verified because it is so ambiguous and is not evidence obama was born in Hawaii.

Real evidence of obama's US citizenship would be backed up by documents that verify his US citizenship. There are none in public. Only unverified public statements from officals in Hawaii that are unreliable because their statements can't be verified. It all goes back to documented verification of obama's Hawaiian birth.

Obama has presented a document that is issued to people born outside of Hawaii. A short form called a "certification of live birth". This document has never been accepted by the Hawaiian registrar and anyone can see when they look at his short form certification.

No hospital name.
No doctors name.
No signatures of mother, father, doctor or registrar.

The document obama has presented to world as evidence he is a US citizen is a scam. It is only proof he is NOT a US citizen because it can't be verified in any way!

I'm conservative an I believe obama is a FRAUD! Coulter is incorrect again.

If you read my various many blog posts on why I know this to be true it will become clear why coulter labels me as a "birther". One who not only believes obama is a FRAUD but can prove obama is a FRAUD and IMPOSTER.

A majority of Americans think obama is a muslim. A large part of this majority also believe obama is not a US citizen or a dual citizen, making him a usurper president.)

The Red herring (idiom), a deliberate attempt to divert attention.

A Red Herring is a fallacy in which an irrelevant topic is presented in order to divert attention from the original issue. The basic idea is to "win" an argument by leading attention away from the argument and to another topic. This sort of "reasoning" has the following form:

1. Topic A is under discussion, the "birther" issue.

2. Topic B is introduced under the guise of being relevant to topic A (when topic B is actually not relevant to topic A), "pushing the birther thing", a diversion to minimize the valid question about obama's birth certificate.

3. Topic A is abandoned. (This is what is hoped will happen when the term birther or "pushing the birther thing" as a revelant argument to topic A is introduced. Obama cannot prove he is a US citizen nor is he qualified to be president because he was a dual citizen at birth, NOT a natural born citizen of two American parents at birth.)

This sort of "reasoning" is fallacious because merely changing the topic of discussion hardly counts as an argument against a claim.

THE "RED HERRING" is coulter and others like glenn beck dismissing the "birth" argument as already settled because of the evidence obama has presented. These people are perpetuating the mith that obama is a valid US citizen. He cannot prove he is a US citizen nor is there any documentation of this that can be verified by Americans like me who know obama is a fraud and imposter. Obama has denied anyone access to any documentation that would verify he was born in an Hawaiian hospital and is a US citizen. Obama has spent millions hiding this fact.
